We gave the pos Chevy traverse to a guy my husband works with. My husband told him it needed a new engine and probably a new computer.
Now every time my husband sees this guy, the guy starts complaining about it. OMG, we GAVE him the car. We even paid the transfer stuff. The guy has not paid us back for that, nor did he give us a bag a change that I missed. I am certain that this guy wants my husband to pay for the new engine and computer. Oh hell, if I wanted to fix the pos I would have! Why would I fix it for somebody else?
Whew, thanks for listening/reading, because if I don’t get this off my chest I am going to explode the next time my husband says something about this car.
What is your vent for the day?

I went to my GP because I have shoulder pain. I asked her if I could have Celebrex. No, I can’t have it because it could hurt my kidneys. You’d think I asked her for morphine or something.

Don't blame you for being annoyed. I'd tell my husband not to "update" me any more!
My vent is about FedEx. My laptop has been at Dell being worked on. Scheduled to be returned tomorrow, signature required. Arranged to be home tomorrow.
While I was in the shower this morning I got a text notification that it's being delivered today instead. Today's plans (which include a friend) had to be canceled at the 11th hour :/ Grrrr.

I'm sure I can find someone else who will pay to have an otherwise free vehicle repaired."

i am annoyed with a particular person on FB who loves to brag about being drunk or hungover. this particular person has four great kids and is a young grandmother to two kids. she smokes like a chimney even though she has respiratory issues. she drinks heavily although she has a bad liver. she makes a big production about quitting both but comes back with bigger posts about falling off the wagon. she gambles and spends her winnings on stupid shit when she should be socking it away for her retirement (if she makes it that long). i am sad for her family and i'm even sadder for her. she is the nicest person but i really wish she would just get her shit together and quit living her life on social media. she is 47 going on 20.

He lived to 92. that's what i suspect will happen. two years ago, she had her brother in tears because she was very ill and possibly dying. she complained she didn't have the health care for treatment. i believed it, she didn't look well. i don't know if a miracle occurred since that time because she started living life like it had. taking long trips overseas to visit family. spending like crazy. drinking and smoking like a scene out of Leaving Las Vegas. all lived on social media.

I am tired of celebrating mediocrity. You are paid to do a job. You do it. Nothing spectacular. We don't need to give you a round of applause - you got paid to do it.

I'm tired of mediocre service. Every time we go out to eat, there's an issue. Go out as a family with parents for breakfast and the pancakes were burnt. Only a slight discount was offered. Go out for a date night and get ignored by the waiter. He asked if we wanted anything with our dinner such as ketchup, mustard, more napkins. I requested ketchup. He never returned. We go to a local Chinese buffet. The waiter never returned to the table to give us our check. We had to go to the counter and tell them our table number to pay. We tip well. We are polite. We do not make outrageous requests, usually only hold the onions. The kids are teenagers. These are just a few of the most recent outings.

This has happened to me twice, both at my house and for DS at my brother's house in Minneapolis (and I had to make sure someone would be home there). What the heck, Dell. I'm not hanging around here for my health. At least give me the satisfaction of signing for the darned thing.

This is so petty, but I wish I could block one neighbor/vehicle from showing up on my Ring Doorbell. They go up and down the road at least 10 times a day and I have to see the motion notification.

My neighbors wake me up every morning with their huge SUV parked right under my bedroom window (on their driveway, but unfortunately right under my window.) The engine is so loud it vibrates my headboard and that wakes me up even more than the noise does. They let it run for anywhere from five to fifteen minutes before they all get in and rev it down the driveway and drive away. And it's never at the same time, but almost always before my alarm goes off. So I never know when I'm going to be woken up. This morning it was 6:40. And then again at 8:00, but of course I was up by then. I have no idea what to do about it, but I'm tired of waking up mad.

My vent for the day is phone solicitors. I have to answer my phone due to work, but hate it when it is a solicitor.
I have found something that works though (as far a people expecting a donation). I tell them to go ahead and send me the information. I will Google their cause using the name and address on the envelope they send me and if the money shows to go to the actual charity, I'll donate. If not, I won't. Funny how the sheriff's office, breast cancer awareness and other places just don't go ahead and sent me that envelope anymore. They also stop calling. Now if it would work with Microsoft and the IRS who want to put me in jail or take over my computer.

Yeah, I want to see it except for that one darn car! There's not much traffic at all on our street and I've had an issue with my mail, that's why I got the doorbell. I wanted to see who might be stopping at my mailbox lol. Now I feel like, IF someone is taking my mail I will never know it because I'm sick of checking and seeing that same damned vehicle! BTW, are you surprised at how much you can see of your neighbors "doings"? I am. I didn't realize how far the camera extends. I wish everyone had one, there would be no more unsolved crimes lol

Every time a dang squirrel comes by I get notification. It's all good. I keep hoping to see something fun, but to date, I haven't seen one single fun thing except some deer and a few raccoons.

My phone went off 20 times a day. Now only when someone is on our doorstep and once in a while a trash truck.

This is exactly why were sold a car to someone else rather than a co-worker that wanted it.

I feel your pain.
Years ago, I had a clueless jerk for a supervisor. After about 6 months I transferred into sales--which meant I then received a company car. The car I got was almost ready for "retirement" and I drove it about 6 months. It then had enough miles for me to get a new company car. About that time the jerk was "laid off" from the company. He needed a vehicle, since he would no longer have a company car. The company sold the jerk my original company car.....about 6 months after that, he called me at 8 AM one day to tell me the car had a transmission that was slipping. It was all I could do not to be real, real sarcastic. As it was, I just told him, "I guess you better not hot rod it then." Sheesh. What did he think *I* was going to do about it?...or even *should* do about it?

People who are getting something for free are the biggest whiners. We just put a tweve thousand dollar wall between our house and the house next door which is a vast improvement on both properties. We paid for the entire wall, didn't ask them for a penny They complained (before we built it) that they didn't know if they would like it. The kicker is it totally improved their property, that they were trying to sell and they weren't even going to live there.

My vent is that I got kicked out of the local anti-racism group after repeatedly asking they not use denigrating references and racial slurs (towards white people). Apparently this is using my white power to silence people of colour, and I’m a fragile white person. :roll eyes:
