I don’t like pranks. I just don’t. Usually they aren’t as funny as people think they are.

I like Ellen, but I HATE her game show stuff, and the pranks. It's just dumb and mean. I don't know why her people don't tell her that. I've felt that way for quite awhile. She doesn't even talk to people anymore, she just plays those dumb games. I want to hear what people think, or about their projects. That is one reason why I don't watch Ellen's show anymore. It seemed it's gotten stuck in a rut.

I love Ellen. But, I don't think it's funny when she scares people. it's getting old and to the point where it's mean.
When I was younger, a friend walked up behind me when I was waiting for something off the printer. She scared me and I flailed my arms out, fully hitting her in her 8mo pg belly. I felt awful, but she also never scared me again! I think about that every time Ellen scares someone.
I do love the skits where she tells celebs what to say in their ear, and I also think it's funny when she sends her writer Adam (Kevin the Cashier) out to impersonate a worker at say, Micheals. I love the time when a lady whose husband had passed away had gone into the store and was so confused, they later brought her on the show and she was just adorable. I think I actually cried it was so sweet. I also love it when the same guy goes out with the reindeer to harrass the people who are selling the stuff they don't need/want from Ellen's 12 days. I think that's hysterical.
I love the interest stories and the celeb interviews, and I typically FF through all the games and the kid interviews (I freaking hate the kid interviews).

I watch things like that and think about if it happened to me, I have had a SCAD/heart attack and certainly would not want a sudden fright. I am not allowed on rollercoasters, to do certain types of exercises and take meds so my heart rate doesn't spike.

I thought it was funny the first few times she did it. The novelty has worn off for me. But I have to think if you go on her show at this point, you should know that it is a possibility. I haven’t watched in quite awhile, but I still crack up every time I see clips of the bit she did with Dennis Quaid repeating the lines she was feeding him at the coffee shop. “Dennis Quaid is here!” 😂. The Dennis Quaid one is SOOO much my favorite.. I go looking for it online just to watch it over and over again.. about once a year.. HA.. Back to the scaring thing... I don't think she means for it to be mean, and the first few times it was funny, but it is worn out. I mean everyone knows she does it, so how can it even be scary now?

Mean.
I have a strong startle reflex and will jump/holler meeting my family members in the hallway. People being intentionally scared is not high on my list of entertainment.
Eta: I don’t watch the show.

I think if I were a celebrity on her show, I'd include in my rider (or whatever that thing is where celebrities make their demands known) that she's not allowed to scare me. And if she did, I wouldn't return to her show. I think it's mean and embarrassing. And the way she laughs at it doesn't seem kindhearted to me. It seems sort of evil.
