Welcome to the first 28-4-28 challenge. I will be your Friday host, and my topic will be to Lift a Pea! This week's choice is AussieMeg . I love so many of her LO's it was hard to choose just one, but I settled on this one for several reasons. I love its simple, classic design, the way the mats are layered, the circle with the rectangular shapes, and the little details like the paper clip that give it interest. Believe by emjaytee67, on Flickr I tried to channel all the elements I mentioned. I also loved the stitching, but since I can't sew a straight line, I didn't use that in my lift. Here is my page: School photo by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to use this AussieMeg 's page as an inspiration for a project of your own. When you have completed your take on this lift, please share it in this thread. ETA: if you prefer to lift another of AussieMeg’s pages, you can find lots of inspiration in her Flickr scrapbook album

Love this layout! The title especially intrigues me - to find a long title with a single word that can be emphasized...

Thanks grammadee . Hmmmmm, this is going to be weird, scraplifting myself! I love your take on it - there's love in the gallery. The title especially intrigues me - to find a long title with a single word that can be emphasized... This LO was actually a word art challenge on a digital scrapping site. We were given the word "Believe" in various forms and had to do a LO with it. I googled quotes with the word "believe" in them, and came up with that quote. I thought it would be perfect for a LO about my daughter and her success at school and her career aspirations.

AussieMeg, your inspiration layout is fantastic. I love the title treatment. I know just the quote and the picture I'm going to use. grammadee, I love your take on the layout. The colors are perfect with your adorable GS. I like how you used the two tags, and put your journaling on the lower one.

I'm planning to lift this one. I've been trying to figure out what to do with a particular group of photos, and this page is great inspiration. Thanks AussieMeg - and thanks for the challenge grammadee ! btw, would it be okay with you, AussieMeg , if grammadee could link your Flickr scrapbooking album in the OP? ETA my scraplift:

I have such a hard time layering. This just got worse and worse as I worked on it. It doesn't look much like AussieMeg's page, but I did get layers and circles. Wish I had better layering skills. December 25

I think the layers look great, nylene. You are working with a smaller canvas and a larger photo, so it's hard to fit in a bunch of other elements, too. Love that happy photo and those "ornaments".

nylene I think you did a great job with the layering too. Your colors are great. You worked the title and journaling in wonderfully. I scrap 8.5x11 too so I know how challenging it can be to work a sketch into the smaller size. But I think this is very well done!

Great lift, jeremysgirl! Love the title, and it tells a great story. Your flower reminded me I need to dig out my own.

Here's mine - my inspiration were the tilted layers, the long title, the circular element and the "flag" out the side. I started out truer to the original but, well, I happened. Also, I will tell you this is the layout example for my Tuesday tic-tac-toe 28-4-28 challenge, but you'll never figure out which elements are part of that challenge so it's not really a spoiler, is it!!! layout so lucky to live this beautiful life by Tony Drew, on Flickr

I have a layout in mind for this, but haven't created anything yet. But I've decided I should look at the 28-4-28 threads to check for layouts not posted in the Team Sharing thread. If you shared in the team thread, I've left comments there. crystalb, Gorgeous page. That cut file is fabulous but the paper you chose makes it even better. I love the little cluster in the top right too. Another fave.
