Sorry this thread is late, I had unexpected work travel last week and flight delays on the way home. Welcome to day three and the This or That challenge. Simply choose one item from each pair to use on your page or project. Don't have either of the options in your stash? Substitutions are welcome! Prefer to scrap in a simpler style? Choose a smaller number of pairs from the below list to make your project. Ready to get your scrap on? Your page should include: - only cardstock or only patterned paper
- photos from the last 2 months or photos that are more than 2 years old
- all the paper layers or no paper layers
- stickers or die cuts
- nice and inky or nice and clean
- enamel dots or sequins

Well, I didn't meet *all* of the challenge requirements, but I got 4 out of 6. The photos are from last summer, and the page didn't feel shiny or sparkly to me so I left off the enamels and sequins. But I managed to use only patterned paper, all the paper layers, and die cuts. And I got the edges of all my mats, layers, and photos nice and inky. Thanks for the challenge, Chinagirl828   |

Chinagirl828 I love how simple and elegant your layout looks. The white on white diecut/background with the bit of inking looks great. grammadee I'm jealous of how well you mixed the patterned papers. I have a hard time mixing things from various lines. Your photo is still the star and isn't overwhelming by the patterns either. Wonderful! msliz your paper choices here perfectly compliment the photos. I like the way you did the journaling block to tell the story. That must have been a really tough job.

grammadee I'm jealous of how well you mixed the patterned papers. I have a hard time mixing things from various lines. Your photo is still the star and isn't overwhelming by the patterns either. Wonderful! Thank you. I often DO mix lines and manufacturers (I organize by theme, so often they are all mixed up together). But this page has only two. All the papers are from the Ella & Viv Happy Birthday kit. The only extra I added was some starry vellum and foil stickers from HOTP and a few ep enamel dots. |

Here is my take  MVHSFroshWrestling by Neva Cole, on Flickr Only Patterened paper (except the journal strips, hard to read writing on pp) Photos are 4 years old so more than 2 years All those paper layers Stickers Nice and clean (except for the journal strips, are sanded but not inked) Enamel dots made from pearler beads, this challenge helped me add that last little embellishment! |

thracian , those crepes look delicious. I love the sentiment. Unfortunately I love carbs too. Great page. Finally, I am getting to this challenge. Thanks for posting it Chinagirl828 !  Happy Halloween I chose *patterned paper only, *2 month old photos (actually from Oct, but I just got them from DS last month!)*a longish story, *stickers, *enamel dots, *nice and clean. I hope that's close enough to the challenge.

Decided I should look at the 28-4-28 threads to check for layouts not posted in the Team Sharing thread. If you shared in the team thread, I've left comments there. Chinagirl828, your layout is lovely. That cut file is fantastic and I love how you used the soft blush color around it. Your black elements really lead your eye straight through the photos. |

MDscrapaholic I love the colour scheme, that navy paper with the little birds is adorable. Love all the little details too, the rows of enamel dots, the aqua journaling, and the cute little doodled hearts in the border.
