Not SB related, but I thought you kind folks would want to know about this:
It's too late to send crafty Valentines to kids in hospital, and some kids are too sick to receive cards from outside anyway. But I read this blog post the other day about how we can share Valentines wishes with very sick kids in hospitals around the country.
but basically it's a round up of links to Children's Hospitals around the US that will share/print digital Valentines with their patients and families. (Of course they'd also love donations - the LA one actually includes a corporate donation so I did that one first). The Colorado one doesn't seem to work for random cards, btw - you have to know a patient's name, so skip that one.
I'm trusting this is more than just a scheme to get new email addresses for donors. Hopefully it will brighten the day for lots of people.
This is such a sweet idea, thanks for posting it. I've worked closely with the children's hospital in my town, but somehow never thought about giving them cards for Valentine's Day - it's one holiday I usually don't put much thought into, I guess.
