Instead of buying 3 or 4 sample cans of paint that will be wasted, these are peel and stick sheets to match various paint companies colors.
Not tried them since no painting in my future but I like the idea.

That is cool, especially if they can be repeatedly moved to see what it looks like in different places/lighting.

It is cool. I’m in the process of choosing new paint colors and I hate the expense and waste of getting samples. I wonder how accurate the colors really are though.

Cool concept, but I’d be concerned about the accuracy of the colors as well. Especially since the base colors for each brand are likely slightly different. I get most of my samples when SW has a 30 or 40 percent off sale and they’re about 5 each. Well worth it to make sure I’m happy with my selection I think.

I’ve been buying paint samples recently because I’m getting ready to paint..I just think the sheets won’t really show the true color. On another note I have no idea what to do with these samples I’m not using lol

I have sheets of Bazzill cardstock in just about every colour, and if I’m choosing paint colours, I’ll stick different sheets to the wall of the room. I can move them around to see how the tones might change depending on light and shade and once I’ve found the one that is just right, I get the paint mixed to match.
No cost, and very easy! 😀

I have been looking at paint swatches and samples and saw this ad as well. I also bought something similar from target for two Joanna Gaines paint colors. I know that the sample that I bought was way different than the peel and stick color looked. I don’t know which was more accurate.

You select the actual manufacturer color (Benjamin Moore, Sherwin Williams...) It's not just a general color.

Hmm, I'm going to paint my bathroom and my kitchen and stairwell, so I'd be interested in this. I hate the waste that is sample cans.

Although looking at the prices, I'd really want to definitively narrow it down pretty closely to a few specific shades before going to town ordering them. Although I usually do that with sample paints.

I think I would still want the actual paint because I would want to see what it looks like over what is underneath and a sticker won’t show that. When we moved into our old house the living room was this hideous gold color. We bought a really nice neutral beige/tan paint and even with primer over the gold, once the paint dried the room looked purple because of the gold still flashing through from underneath, ugh. At that point we realized we probably needed multiple coats of primer to completely cover that gold and seal the porous walls, but it was too late and we were too broke to buy another multiple gallons of paint at $40-50 a gallon. So we had a purple living room for a long, long time!
The lesson learned is to prime really well especially over darker colors or very porous walls, and use the actual paint on a big swatch first, then let it totally DRY. Then look at it under various lighting conditions, then decide.

That's a great idea. I usually end up using the samples to make chalk paint or on some other general craft project because I feel bad wasting it. I've also been guilty of having my paint mixed to match my cardstock too!
