Dh never had the soup he was going to eat last night. So, he's going to eat the leftover soup tonight.
What's on our menu?
Wishing everyone in our tribe a day full of grins.

It’s National Pancake Day... I think I’m going to attempt a gluten-free blueberry baked pancake recipe, and make scrambled eggs and salad with pear to accompany. ETA ... my gf baked pancake turned out really well!! Nice and fluffy, with crispy top and edges... and no weird gritty texture issues.

Pancakes sound yummy! But I have rechauffe at home. Either chili from last night or chicken from the night before.

I made smoked salmon and zucchini. And now I’m going to curl up on the sofa, knitting and watching TV.

I've got chicken leg quarters in the fridge, so I think I'll bake those and served with the eternal green salad and some sort of starch, either rice pilaf or roasted potato. I've got a little elderly cauliflower in the fridge so I'll roast that with the chicken.
Unless I get a better offer for dinner . . .

We had Baked Ravioli last night. Dh broiled it up under the broiler to brown it for a few mins after baking and it was pretty good! The only other change I made was I used my homemade spaghetti sauce with sausage in it instead of jar sauce. Not because I'm snooty but because people use up stuff in my house and don't put it on the grocery list. So thankfully, there was some homemade in the freezer. Otherwise, there's no meat in this recipe unless you use meat sauce. Maybe good for lent time ?

So we ended up with sushi last night. Yum! Tonight I have some errands to run. What I had planned for dinner takes some time, so I think I'll move it to Sunday and get some carry out on the way home instead.

I've got a bit of sinus/head cold going on, but I feel good for the most part. I plan on making homemade blueberry pancakes for the boys. Then I'll make a sheet pan frittata for myself and I can have it for breakfast the rest of the week

I still haven’t made soup. Things keep coming up. Tonight I’d rather have pizza. So if I don’t make chicken soup tonight, I guess the stock will go in the freezer.

There's supposed to be steak with scalloped potatoes & spinach. Unfortunately, my head feels like it's going to explode. It seems I have a sinus infection. I am thinking of calling the pizza man and hitting my pillow.

Congratulations to your DS and DIL Delta Dawn! That year went by fast! Last night DH ordered pizza for the boys and salad for me. My fever went up last night; but no fever today. I definitely have a cold and a sinus infection. Tomorrow I will be off to see my doctor. Today I just wanted to rest. So tonight it is rechauffe!

I spent last night at my friend's mountain house and her husband made a us a fantastic dinner. I was in awe. It's a novelty to me to see a DH cooking.
I'm back to home sweet home and reality = I have to scramble together a dinner. I think I'll make mac and cheese with some broccoli. I had a late lunch, so I'm not that hungry.

Oh no. @jeremysmom and destined2bmom both have sinus infections and they posted back to back. Were you two crafting together? Seriously, I hope you both feel better quickly. Neither of you should worry about dinner. Rest and relax. Delta Dawn , I can't believe that the wedding was a year ago. It seems like they just got married. You must be over the moon that they're coming home. Happy Anniversary to the happy couple.
ETA: Oops. I'm sorry jeremysgirl. I called you @jeremysmom. Hope I didn't creep you out.

Friday morning here, but last night dinner was spaghetti at my son and DiL’s place. Her parents and sister also came around so it was good to catch up with them.
I arrived in Melbourne yesterday at 5:50am, and made it through passport and customs reallly quickly. I was met by an Emirates driver, who drove me to my sister’s house. After a shower and coffee to feel human again, I went with her to the rehab center to visit my BiL. DiL picked me up from there, and we went for lunch and to get me an Australian SIM for my phone, then we went back to her house. Today, I am at my sist’s house alone - she has just gone to visit her DH, her older son worked night shift, so is asleep and her younger son I think is at his girlfriends’s house. I slept until after 9am! I think I will go out for a walk once I have had some breakfast - a bit of sunshine might help me wake up properly.

They both have excellent job prospects and this way I can do daycare for their kids. This is into the future of course, but I know they want kids. I don’t have a timeline for this yet but maybe by June they will be ready. I am over the moon happy about this!!!

Well, I ended up having pizza for lunch with my mom and sister. The good local stuff ... Zachary’s. So we’re back to plan A, chicken soup. If I am ever hungry again. ha ha lucyg , did your DGS head off camping? How are they doing? Yes, and we were all very very stressed by the time we got him onto the bus. The friend’s mom who is on the trip sent me some pix last night and he looked relaxed and happy. I hope he was warm enough last night. Yes, I know I’m a sap. Just so you know, I never worried about my own kids like this. I just assumed they’d be fine. He’ll be home tomorrow afternoon and I expect to make him a scrapbook of the trip. Thanks for asking.

It's been cold and rainy all day so I made a pot of butternut squash soup. It was the perfect thing for this weather. DH isn't much on soup but he had a bowl too. I also made a sour cream coffee cake from a King Arthur mix that was about to expire.

Hi tribe! We stopped in to surprise my old bunco group so that was wonderful, then we got our taxes done then we met DH's Sister for lunch. Then we ran to Costco and got a chicken pot pie for dinner. Then we stopped by the Honda and Subaru dealerships to look around in anticipation of DS car shopping tomorrow. Long day!

lucyg, I'm glad they went but completely understand your worry. Our local news profiled the 6th grade wilderness camp where all events had to be adjusted because of the unexpected snow. tuesdaysgone, I have a couple of friends whose DHs are super talented in the kitchen and I'm so envious. My DH is great with a grill but that's it.
