We are trying to cut our bills down as things are really tight lately. We live in the country it's so our only option for television was satellite hi and DirecTV is so expensive our bill is like 200 a month for the lowest package so I canceled it last night. So we're thinking of going to a streaming service for our TV we only have DSL internet but we haven't had any issues with streaming on like Netflix or Hulu or Amazon. I just wonder what services everyone is using and what you like and don't like about that service. Were using the free trial of Hulu live and it's missing a lot of the channels that we like.

I tested out both YouTubeTV and DirecTV NOW. I really liked YouTube TV, but they didn't offer one of the main channels I watch, HGTV. I've been really happy with DirecTV now. There hasn't been any channels I don't have (which is mostly Bravo, HGTV, and sports channels, in addition to local stations). The only thing I don't like about DirecTV Now is the DVR space is really small, but I can watch most things on demand, and I just watch less TV in general now, so it hasn't been an issue.

I'm using Philo - it has the channels I really wanted (the Discovery Channel group, HGTV, Hallmark & Hallmark Movies, Lifetime) and is quite inexpensive compared to everything else (only $17.00 a month). The one thing it doesn't have is the sports channels, but I don't miss those.

When we were preparing to switch, I printed a list of all of the channels that were available on Hulu Live, You Tube TV, Direct TV Now, and Sling TV. We then looked at all of our cable channels and figured out which ones were necessities, which would be nice to have, and which ones we didn't care about. Hulu Live by far met our needs the best of all of them.

Hulu Live. It gives us all the channels we wanted as well as local tv stations. When we had DirectTv Now they carried the major networks, but not our local stations which made them pretty useless for local news. We also have subscriptions to Netflix and Amazon Prime, though we had those before cutting the cord.

Well I can tell you what not to get ...SlingTV. We got a month free when we purchased our TV back in Dec and it’s $25 but it all has commercials..I get the live part having them but the non live part does also and it sucks. I forgot to unsubscribe to it in Jan after my free month so I got charged (my fault totally) but this month I went to unsubscribe two days early and they already charged my card so I got stuck paying another month. They won’t return any emails ...I’m over it.
They do offer AMC though.

We have had direct tv now for over a year and are really happy with it. In the beginning, there was a lot of buffering, but that seems to be completely resolved now. We also have Hulu, amazon prime videos and we have access to Netflix.

We have an Amazon Firestick and I got a free trial to Pkayststion Vue. I was impressed, but didn’t keep it. (I’m ok without live TV right now.)

I’ve used YouTube, Philio, PlaystationVue, DirectTV, Sling, and Hulu.
Hulu is by far the best, with philo as a supplement.

We are going with directv now they are the only service that gives us local channels.
We live in a very rural area in western Maryland and our local channels are Pittsburgh based mist of the streaming places want to give us Baltimore which aren't accessible here which sucks 95% of what we watch is on local channels so DirecTV now is our only option

DirecTV NOW is streaming TV; different than regular satellite DirecTV

I am using Hulu right now. I am not happy with the way the service works. I have issues with the DVR. I like the channels it offers, but not happy with the dvr at all.
