I feel ya. This exact thing happened to me. I had one month to go and thought I was home free. I was on vacation in Mexico and I had the worst period of my entire life. It pretty much ruined my vacation. And that was the last period I ever had. It was like my uterus was having a farewell celebration and decided to make it a destination party. So don’t give up hope that you’re almost finished. (But if you’re going out of the country take supplies. It will save you tons of aggravation and language snafus.)

Nine months is a pretty long time to stop. Be sure to tell your gyno at your next visit. It could be a sign of trouble.

I feel your pain. So sorry! Two times, I went 11 months with nothing, then Aunt Flo decided to make her appearance. The first time, I was so disappointed. The second time was the last one. Ugh!

I will be 54 in August and so far, she really doesn’t show much sign of leaving. 😱 I’m pretty much over it.

☹️ that’s frustrating. I hope it’s at least light and not painful.

I'm 54 and haven't had a period in over 14 months--and today I started spotting. Not happy!

I came within weeks (even days) of that one-year mark more than once.
It's downright cruel.

Wow. I got all excited when I skipped just one month. I can’t imagine how disappointed I’d be after that large of a gap.

I just realized that when I first joined 2peas, I was in my 20's, pregnant and menopause was in the far off future.
I'm now reading this thread and thinking "me too".

Aw hugs! That really stinks. Let's hope this is the last hurrah and that the hated aunt won't ever come back to visit again.

I think it's quite common to be 99% done then get another showing just to remind you you're not out of the woods yet! Certainly happened to me - 9 or 10 months if I remember correctly.

I feel ya. I had a period last May and then end of last month. I gotta start my count all over again 🙁
AND I’m afraid the one I had might not have been ‘enough’ as it was the lightest period I ever had in my entire life.
Yeah tmi I know

I went 15 months without a period and then had one! I was so pissed. That was 4 months ago and I haven't had one since. So the 12 month mark and you are home free is wrong.
