Ours gets some interesting posts at times... it was really funny when a few moms in the neighborhood decided among themselves to change the night of trick-or-treating because there was a chance of rain on Halloween. That went over like a lead balloon. It seems around here the ones who are the testiest are the older retired people. We have one man who is retired from the Army and thinks everyone should behave as if they are in the military; one very old lady who constantly complains about the lack of a traffic light at a certain intersection, but refuses to take the other road out of her neighborhood with a light because "this is the way I want to go! They need to put a light up!"; and then one older couple who are very active on the app, but only the husband has a profile so the wife posts under his account. She refuses to get her own so there's always a little "this is Mary" added on at the end.

Our next door is calm. I've gotten some good recommendations for workmen off of it.
One lady had an attempting carjacking (he pulled on her door handle) happen to her at a dead end. One of her passengers took pictures of the guy and his vehicle. A day later she came back to post that he was a part of a church's addict program and the truck belonged to the church. I commend the police for their search for him.
I'll wait for the crazy to happen.

Mine is full of suspicion: I saw a white van driving slowly down the street, should I call the police? Someone rang my doorbell and ran away. Two people came to my door late and I think they were casing the house.etc

We post warnings when the parking nazi is in the neighborhood (city vehicle driving around writing tickets for parking even a cm over the sidewalks in your own driveway) or heads up when some of the neighborhood kids are selling GS cookies or fundraiser chocolate (because we love helping the kids out and DUH chocolate). We watch out for lost or found pets. We give warnings about when a neighbor has had a break-in or vandalized vehicle or if the tree trimmer or water quality scammers are in the area. We helped locate the assholes who beat up one of our special needs kids and stole his bike (well, he's actually an adult but he emotionally and mentally 3rd or 4th grader - he was one of those rare reactions to vaccinations and almost died when he had his MMR shot so we're his herd immunity in more ways than one). We all made sure each other was okay after Harvey and knew which houses were supposed to have people in them working to rebuild and which ones were not (and therefore at risk of looting and the cops needed called). It's like having an HOA or civic club without the dues and politics.
