I ordered the new Heidi Swapp Color Fresh sticker book last week from Amazon and I had a chance to look through it today. Most of the pages are clear stickers! I am so bummed. Only 11 of the 30 pages the stickers are on white cardstock and the other 19 pages are clear stickers. I also opened up the new Maggie Holmes Sunny Days sticker book... 8 pages of clear stickers. Darn it!
I have a hard time using clear stickers and much prefer stickers on white cardstock. I should have double-checked before purchasing but I'm disappointed. Are clear stickers now more popular than sticker-stock stickers?

I usually back my clear stickers on cardstock that coordinates w/the sticker colors and/or the page colors. That might help here.

I usually back my clear stickers on cardstock that coordinates w/the sticker colors and/or the page colors. That might help here. That's a great idea. I love the designs in both sticker books and I want to use them, but I know I won't if they are clear. Backing them with white cardstock my solve the problem. Thanks!

I back my clear stickers on white cardstock. I don't know why we're seeing a resurgence of them...never been a favourite of mine!

I generally prefer clear stickers. I have been lamenting the return of stickers with those white borders. Sounds like Heidi mixed it up in this pack you are referring to.

I like clear stickers except when they are the same color as the background and won’t show up. I just put them on cardstock usually with a slight border to make them pop a little. Sometimes I’ll cut out a die in an oval or circle shape to change it up a bit.

I much prefer clear stickers over anything! That way it always coordinates with my project.

I guess I'm in the minority! I just wish the descriptions were clearer so I know what I'm purchasing.

I’m with you. I find clear stickers so hard to use, especially since I use a lot of pattern paper. It always looks messy to me. I also don’t like the stickers with the white borders though...I prefer when they are made of card stock and cut flush with the image. I’m picky!

I don’t mind clear stickers but like the idea of backing them with white or coloured card stock as well.

Clear stickers bother me because they almost always necessitate a second step of adding a background to be able to see/read them easily.
With stickers I just want to be able to peel & stick. I'm lazy.

I hate clear stickers, too. I don't like having to put them on white card stock and then having to cut them out. Nope!!

I have been putting clear stickers actually ON my photos for awhile now, especially a word clear sticker. Sometimes it is half on the photo and half not. Back in the day I never would have, but with the ability to reprint so easily I am less concerned with photo integrity.

I'm not a big fan. I use a lot of patterned backgrounds and like to layer a bit and I cant do that with clear stickers. Plus. I dont really want to go to the trouble of fussy cutting them on white cardstock to make them more functional.

As primarily a card maker, I love clear stickers. I’m glad someone mentioned backing stickers with card stock. I struggle to use the stickers with white trim. I’ll think I’ll experiment with trimming off the white edges and try “matting” the sticker with a complimentary color. That might work better for me.
I love how we all like different things, yet share and learn from others experiences and ideas!

I did not pick up the more circulated Amy Tan sticker book because it is all clear.
HATE clear stickers. Makes them more trouble than they are worth to use.

Amen, sister! I find them very frustrating. I did use up a bunch recently but that was only because I put them on a white cardstock background. Guess I need to do a bunch more layouts like that.
I know I can put them on white cardstock and then cut them out but the extra step is frustrating. I don't wanna. LOL.

I just ordered this sticker book today - I didn't realize so many stickers were clear. I'll back them with white cardstock, I guess.

I don't care much for clear stickers. They don't show up very well so then I have to back them and cut them out and then add adhesive... all of those steps negate why I bought stickers!

I love clear stickers and, even better, stickers made out of washi paper, because they are so nice and thin. I can't stand the thickness of cardstock stickers.
