T Another thing that pinged in my head on my last rewatch was all the characters who were introduced early on and at the time I didn't think anything of them; I thought they were bit players and would be gone in an episode or two, but they're STILL here and are major players! Like Bronn for example, and Brianne and Davos. And who knew how important Samwell Tarley would become?? The books are like that, but 100xs worse. You meet a character in a book, and it will be a central character, and then they disappear, never to be seen again, OR turn up and killed 2 books later. OR killed off that book. It's crazy. And there are SOOOOO many characters. I'm glad I read the books one after another.

The funniest part was my DH did NOT want to watch it with me. He thought it would be boring. ha! my DH will not watch it, and says 'how interesting can sex and swordfights be?' I've tried to explain to him that it's about so much more than that, but my description of dragons, politics, battles, etc. doesn't really help, lol. I think it's something you just have to watch for yourself and you're either hooked, or you hate it. Although I must say, when I watched the VERY first episode, I DID think, "WTF am I watching?!?" (re: Cersei and Jaime) but I kept watching, and it very quickly got me hooked. I'm also reading the books now (I'm in Feast for Crows right now), but I never would have tried reading them if I hadn't watched the show first. Too funny! My DH was the same way, but he was hooked after the first two. He thought it was based on events in history and I was like....lol, nope, but now he loves it. I have thought about reading the books, but I don't know if I could keep up with everything.

oh yvonne You can do it! I started 2 days ago and I'll finish up Season 1 tonight. What's crazy is now the scenes/clues seem to flow together and make sense. When I first watched I was lost during most of them and would have to read threads here or google! I still love the way Sir Jorah looks at Dany.

I'm finished season 1 episode 4 last night. I'm trying for 3 episodes a night but gah this is such a busy time of year too. WHY did I wait so long? DH marathoned the last season a couple of months ago to refresh himself already. I should have started then. I am seeing things I never noticed before though, watching it the second time from the very beginning is really best for me too.
