Someone here must know. I have bought some embossing folders that are very thick. Yesterday my Stampin' Up order came, and it included two very thick embossing folders. I cannot figure out the right sandwich, although I did get it to work with just the regular base, and a single piece of chipboard on top. I love the results, but I'm thinking that there must be a better way, or at least a proper sandwich.
Any suggestions? What am I missing?
TIA!

I was having problems with the one I was trying to use over the weekend. Operator error - wrong sandwich. This is what SU says.
Regular platform (not magnetic) Lightly mist card stock with water (both sides) and place inside folder Spine of the folder goes into Big Shot first One cutting plate Run the folder through and then roll it back again

Thanks.
One cutting plate just seemed too thick, but maybe I was being overly cautious.
I damaged my Big Kick trying to put something through it that was too thick. It still works, sort of, but not as well as it did. It's as if it is looser or something, so I bought a Big Shot as a replacement. I don't want to risk my Big Shot. Maybe I'll try that sandwich with my Big Kick and see what happens. I have nothing to lose with the Big Kick.

Are these anything like the Sizzix 3D embossing folders? I have those and my sandwich is: Platform on tab 1 Embossing folders with paper face up Cutting pad I also spritz the paper with a little bit of water. It allows the embossing to be deeper.

Yes, they are like the Sizzix 3D, as well as other brands of 3D embossing folders.
Thank you for telling me what you do.
