I just read an article that Harry will be traveling to the Netherlands on May 8-9. I kind of think she's already had the baby but then again didn't they say they would announce when Meghan went into labor? Seems odd that he would be traveling this close to her due date. He could get back in less than 2 hours though. It’s only 1 hr 15 min flight to Heathrow and they’d whip him through both airports quicker than we could blink 😀 I doubt it is a spur of the moment visit. He’s going to the 1 year countdown of the Invictus games. That date has probably been in his diary well before Meghan became pregnant. The media is reporting it as an unexpected visit .....bless their hearts ! Just because they didn’t know about it doesn’t make it unexpected. I would have thought it would have been a given he’d have been there as it’s to do with the games. I know it’s not typical, but I have really fast labors. With my first baby it was less than an hour from the time I felt a contraction until the time I was holding my baby in my arms. An out of the country trip seems super odd to me unless the baby is already here safely and we just don’t know it.

As I said it's probably more than likely that it's been in his diary for months. It isn't as if he's just made the decision recently.

I, too, was under the impression that the palace will announce when she’s in labor? Now I’m reading that the baby could already be here and an announcement isn’t expected until the baby is a few days (or more!) old?
Honestly, I prefer the way William and Kate did it. Announce the labor, announce the birth, pose for a few photos, announce the name three days later, and everyone is happy. All this mystery and secrecy is going to make the media (and everyone else!) crazy.

All this mystery and secrecy is going to make the media (and everyone else!) crazy I agree. All this "ve vant to be alone" just stirs up the media frenzy and crazy speculation even more

Maybe I’m wrong but didn’t the media leave Williams and Catherine alone after the births of their children? After the photos were taken outside the hospital? I understand Meghan not wanting to participate in that tradition but she and Harry don’t live a normal existence. They won’t be able to keep this baby hidden from the world, regardless of how they feel about the media. I fear the media will hound them more if Meghan and Harry continue to be evasive.

One was just under two hours and the second was just under an hour. Yes, I agree it's possible but on average not the norm. He could have been caught out when he attended the London Marathon on Sunday too. It would have taken him longer then than to fly across the channel!

He could have been caught out when he attended the London Marathon on Sunday too. It would have taken him longer then than to fly across the channel! We could use this argument forever. I had a 26 hour labor and a 53 hour labor. You just never know! Of her mother just came a week ago, I’d guess things are right on schedule. Otherwise, I’d think her mom would have been in town for weeks. If it was announced October 15, the due date could be May 15 ish. Two months along is far enough to knowyou are pregnant. And we know the announcement was made earlier than usual, yes? I knew I was pregnant 10 days after conception for both kids, and that was 20+ years ago. When I was pregnant with my first, my MIL was in town for a visit. She was coming to help with the birth and wanted the doctor to tell her when to come. My OB said, “If I could predict delivery dates, I’d be a millionaire.” Babies come when they are darn good and ready to come. Early, late, whenever! But it doesn’t look good for the twin rumor. Surely they would have been born by now if it was twins!

Ok, I’m sitting here watching hockey playoffs, wondering if any news on the royal baby. Of course I check in with the peas.

and I didn't see anyone who guessed May 6! We may still have a winner based on the name...let's hope we don't have to wait too long for that! Or maybe they'll try to keep that a secret too...

I think it’ll be Wednesday according to what Harry said - I hope so! Dying to know their choice. Did anyone get the weight right?
