It is not that easy to eliminate a constitutional right. And while I firmly believe there needs to be more done concerning gun jaws. I firmly believe in the Constitution. And I don’t believe that a stash of weapons is what the Founding Fathers has in mind.

Otherwise women and people of color still wouldn't be able to vote... I am just saying.

Seems sillly to compare a nation with 1..23% of the population of the U.S. Tell me one other statistic that 1.2% of the pop attains in the mainstream

I agree that it is not as simple for us, and it will take more time. But to dismiss it so flippantly just because of our much greater population is ridiculous. When was our first mass shooting? What changes have we made since then? Have they been effective? If not, did we move forward with other ideas?

And they have a population of 66 million. And the thing is.....it isn’t any more difficult to pass a law in a large country than it is in a smaller one. If there’s a will there’s a way, but the US doesn’t want to. When the murder of a bunch of little kids is considered acceptable collateral damage, nothing will change.

There IS a difference between the countries. But its not population. Its a general attitude towards guns, by the people and politicians. They don't have a segment of population that lives and dies by its set in stone interpretation of the 2nd amendment. They don't have politicians that are bought and paid for by a very powerful gun lobby. They have people that expects their government to ACT in the face of something abhorrent like this. THAT is the difference in responses here.
