An LSS near me recently out of business. One thing the owner rarely did was put things on clearance. Stuff sat in that place for years—way past the time it was popular. Pretty much nobody was going to buy cutesy page toppers or large stickers off of a roll at a discount, let alone full price. I don’t know what she did with the stock when she closed Craig’s list maybe?

I totally agree. One time they couldn't find a $5 bill, so he went through her pants pockets... while they still on her. Apparently she wasn't capable of finding the bill on her own. (They never did find it.). And yes, he's got plenty of stuff he doesn't get rid of. He sounds like a winner. Makes me grateful for my 'as long as the bills are paid, buy whatever you want' husband who basically only tells me to shut up about shopping because I'm telling him about a good sale I'm considering shopping because he doesn't want to deal with me complaining about missing out because I was too busy telling him about it than checking out. Mine has a boat. A big speed boat that you can sleep in/on. A tank of gas costs more than several months of supplies for me. I get no lip.

950nancy One of my girlfriends said she finally has a hobby that costs nearly what her DH's hobbies of hunting and fishing cost. I love that.

One he fixed up and sold (the new owner swamped it), and his new(er) one is a sparkly and shiny. Just to dock the dang thing for six months is $375 a month. Crazy expensive. No way I could come close to his expenses, but my boys have loved having the boat and we have had some fun adventures. Awesome pictures too.

I friend of mine got married to a guy who doesn't get her craft. (grumble grumble). I noticed he has been posting some of her stuff on Marketplace and is pricing it for what it originally cost. He had a white scrap shelf on sale for $100 originally. A few weeks later, it is down to $50. I'd be getting rid of him. Free of charge.

LSS, selling Mrs. Gerry's ( ) stickers on a roll for dollars, and some of the stuff you could get at Target back in the day that you had to punch out, for two or three dollars. No one bought it.

I just saw someone on my local craft sale Facebook group trying to sell the original 6" Cricut for $190 (CAD but still).

In some cases people close’s friends make better choices for them than they do themselves. When I was younger my fiends would not have done well. But my now friends could probably do pretty good

Craigslist is the worst for used scrappy supplies.. every time I go peak to see what's on there.. the prices are ridiculous... OLD stuff.. and I am talking at least 15 years old and wanting $50 for a 'mini haul' or whatever they want to call it...

I'm too lazy to organize a sale so I donate. I'm sure all the things I want to get rid of are worth a million

Most of the time with no cartridges, so essentially obsolete. I bought mine new the first weekend they came out YEARS ago for $180. They were so new that they allowed the 40% off on them.

I thought of you guys when I saw my relative had sold a fancy designer coffee table on Fbk Marketplace - but she did it the way you have to if you want to actually get rid of something and have the new owner come pick it up --> $700 table (eeeek!) sold for $50!
(Don't ask me why anyone would spend $700 on a coffee table, even if they were rolling in dough. I don't get it. I think it was a designer's idea.)
