Is anyone jumping on the SSS buy a $75 gift card get $10 bonus deal? That's a pretty good discount, I think. (I'm thinking about buying the gift card for myself to get the $10 free)
And then I was thinking about whether I could spread my $85 in purchases out over the 3 months to get the loyalty bonus as well. I think it's a $15 credit in August if you buy in May June and July... ?
Have we all become disillusioned with SSS and their crappy shipping? Or has anyone taken advantage of these deals already?
I've been pretty good about not buying much lately, especially from SSS but there are some things on my wishlist that would easily add up to $85-100 - none that I need urgently.

I think it's a pretty good deal! Not sure if I'll do it this time, but I've done it in the past. The one thing to know is that the $10 gift card has an expiration date. I checked my email and when I did it last, I received the gift card on 12/1 and it expired on Jan 31, so it was only good for two months.
Thanks for the reminder about the loyalty program, I had forgotten about that email! I might try to make small purchases every month to get the reward.
While I agree that Simon is super inconsistent about shipping times, I try never to order from them if I need something in a hurry. Also, their $5 codes basically make shipping $2, so I'm okay with placing smaller orders.

I've jumped on this when they've offered it before but I'm debating this time. Not because of the slow shipping (I'm in Canada and nothing gets to me very fast), but because I don't tend to scrap much in the warmer months and am not sure how much shopping I will do. (Who am I kidding... I've got packages arriving on a daily basis)

I was thinking about the a $75 GC for myself. With the $10 bonus it's a 13% discount. But, I've learned not to order from SSS, unless it's one of their branded products because of the shipping time. So I'm not sure what I'll do. :/
On the website it does say the bonus card will expire on 8/31/19.
I did receive a survey from them back in April and I answered honestly when I said the biggest issue I have with them is their shipping time and the minimum shipping charge is $6.99.

I just wanted to add a recent shipping experience. We all know how inconsistent they are. I placed an order on Sunday 5/12 to take advantage of their mother's day promo. My expectation was that I might get this order next week, if I was lucky, due to the sale, the phase of the moon, or whatever other reasons cause my orders to be in processing limbo for days/weeks. Imagine my total shock when I received that order today 5/16.
Will that happen again? Who knows!

I gave them honest/glowing remarks for everything else but I didn't hold back on comments about shipping speed. I made it really clear that I wasn't complaining about the post office either, since I know they can't control that (and it's an easy rebuttal - not our fault, usps sucks, etc) but very specifically talked about how slow they were to get stuff in the mail after I placed my order. I also told them that I only buy things from them that I can't get elsewhere. With the $10 bonus it's a 13% discount. Thanks for doing the math for me! I knew it was a fairly decent percentage.

Since it was such a big sale ($20 off $100) I fully expected it would be two weeks before it even shipped. I received it on Thursday. I’m really hoping that wasn’t a fluke since they carry almost every brand I shop for, but we’ll see.
