Yes I do. I hate it when I can tell someone is not wearing them but the sweat area in their crack. I'd rather you seem my underwear seams.

My gynecologist actually advised against wearing underwear when exercising. She said if you must they should NOT be cotton. As for being grossed out about vag sweat on the machines at the gym...I leave a sweat mark and I wear unders. Like another poster said that's what the spray and paper towels are for. I bought fairly pricy "performance" underwear and while it did wick away sweat those suckers were down to my ankles before I finished a set. I wear cotton boyshorts and have never had a yeast infection. Maybe its because I don't live near a bread factory My dr said it was bacteria that's an issue not yeast. However, like I said...I wear underwear at all times. Even cotton ones, and so far I've been infection free.

This reminded me of when I was in dance team in high school.
You were not allowed to wear underwear and had a panty check before each performance.
If you got caught wearing underwear you got demerits and possibly pulled from the performance.
NO PANTY LINES, people!!

I've been wondering this, too, since I recently started doing a barre workout and am wearing the appropriate attire. I did wear a thong the other day, but the pants I was wearing didn't want to play nice, so that was kind of an issue, too. May have to try the boy short option.

I wear boy shorts - thin and stretchy ones that stay in place... Just my preference... I wish a lot more women double and triple checked their pants/shorts though... Between sweat, various positions, lighting, and a few washings (maybe they weren't see through when you first bought them), they aren't providing the coverage needed...lol I don't work out at a showy gym where people are doing a lot of checking out, but it still gets noticed... Overheard the term "mumblers" used to describe a yoga pants thanks to one commando woman

I do both, sometimes with underwear sometimes without.

I find the granny panties are most comfortable to work out in. They don't roll down and don't ride up. Don't care if I have lines or not, I'm not going commando. Ain't Flo has become very unpredictable and I like having an extra layer there just in case.

Dd is horrified by her older sisters having VPL with their yoga pants. She says mine are ok because I'm a mom. Haha. I guess moms are allowed to wear underwear. I must wear underwear. It just feels wrong to go without.

I always wear underwear with clothes. Underwear wicks and protects. I could not possibly care one bit less what anyone else does. To me, underwear are simply more comfortable than none, so I wear them. This sums up my thoughts to a T.

If they are "workout" yoga pants with the built in panty, no. If they are lounge around yoga pants made for being lazy, yes.

I would never have thought to go without panties in my workout clothes. None of my workout clothes has anything built in which would suggest that they were made to be worn alone. And I am another who doesn't care about visible panty lines. I would rather know you wear panties, then think you don't.

If I'm concerned about panty lines, I usually choose a thong, but I think I'm going to buy some boyshorts to try. I had no idea people weren't wearing underwear beneath their workout clothes, but hey, I also didn't realize people didn't wear them beneath tights/hose.

I have some seamless underwear from Target (Champion brand, I think) that I wear under running tights and yoga pants. If they're not clean one day, I just wear a normal boyshort style. I really don't care if any lines can be seen, but I refuse to wear any pair that could cause a wedgie.

I always wear underwear however I noticed in the gym's locker room that a lot of women do not. I would caution women again wearing thongs with yoga pants, too often I see a woman bending over in class and her pants become sheer.

I wear underwear with regular workout shorts/capris. It's just not comfortable for me without them, for whatever reason. When I wear bike shorts, though, (the ones with the diaper-like chamois padding), I go commando. Chafing, you know...

For the most part I just don't "get" underwear.
If you are wearing pants or shorts it just seems very, very redundant. And unnecessary.
This is especially true for workout clothes. Yoga pants, bike shorts, etc are tight and hold everything in. There is nothing they can't hold on that panties will hold in. There is nothing the can't wick away that panties will wick away.
Most days I don't wear underwear. I'm not wearing them today (I'm wearing palazzo pants and a blouse to take my kids to gymnastics).

UGH.
People.
It's not about the pantylines!
If the exercise clothing has an appropriate crotch, you wear them without underwear. If not, you wear underwear. It's like dancers and tights. The tights ARE the underwear. As we tell the little kids in ballet, deal with it. LOL

I am a cotton granny panty girl. Even if the whatever has a cotton crotch built in. I have no ass, so no VPL but even if I did, I would still wear underwear. I would feel too exposed.

Under workout clothing? Rarely if ever. Under everyday clothing? Always. Because of daily, normal vaginal discharge for which I'd rather launder underwear after every use than pants/slacks.

I NEVER wear underwear to work out. So uncomfortable! I tried, but it wasn't happening. Not to mention the VPL. Haha! This thread is too funny.

I have learned so much from this thread! I am not one to work out, so I don't have an opinion. But now if I start to work out, I will have to give it a try with no underwear. The thought never occurred to me!

I wear snug granny panties with my walking shorts. I have to have something to soak up all the sweat or I chaff horribly.

Yeah- that. Lululemon is HUGE here for workout gear. I don't get it, but people seem to love their Lululemon. I'm one that won't pay that much for jeans though, let alone yoga pants. I'm just extremely cheap. And yes, several ladies in my class haven't gotten the memo about the see-through yoga pants.
