This challenge is for those who scrap slowly and need encouragement to keep scrapping all month or those who want a little encouragement to continue scrapping. It is great for those new to Challenges and is a fun place to come chat with other Pokey scrappers. 1. Post a layout each week, or four layouts per month. These can be posted in the thread or in the gallery. If you post in the gallery, be sure to come to the thread and tell us you posted and tell us the name of the layout so we can find it. You can copy the URL from the gallery and paste it directly into your thread for a link. 2. This challenge can be combined with any other challenges and can be paper, digital or hybrid scrapping. These can be cards, layouts or altered items or any other creative projects. 3. Please comment on the work of others on the thread as your time allows. We all love comments on our layouts. 4. Have fun with this! This should be a "no pressure" challenge. Just post what you finish whether it is one layout or more than four. Come chat with the group as time permits. We love to welcome new members . There are no prizes for this challenge, just a chance to enjoy the works of other Pokey Peas Refugees. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Today it actually feels like Summer is coming and we just missed Spring entirely. It was warm today but they are warning of lots more rain this evening and through the night. I hope your weather is cooperating with the Calendar! LOL
I hope you each have time this month for some scrappy or scrafty fun. It's great therapy!

Happy June! Omg how is it June already??? I can't believe how fast time goes! Our weather is all over the place. Thunderstorms later today, the temps have ranged from a cold 50's to mid 80's for May. And so much rain. I missed a lot of the goings on here last month my life was so busy and brutal work wise at the end of it. I plan to be hanging around here more in June! I've missed it here! Going to go scrap with my mom today which will hopefully start this month off right creatively. I'm excited to be playing in the challenges again! Have an awesome weekend everyone!

Happy June, Pokeys! We have been having a cool dry spring, but this last few days have been pretty warm. I was revelling in all the green when I was walking around the yard yesterday. Hard to believe it was all just brown and grey this time last month. We really need RAIN, though. Weather forecasters keep promising it and then it all seems to evaporate. Hope you have more time to relax and play this month, joyfulnana. And I always enjoy hearing about your Cousin Camp prep and adventures, nylene. It’s going to be a busy month for me. Monday the 3rd I have a surgical consult. Then Wednesday the 5 th I head to Calgary. A couple of days with one son’s family, then off to Orlando for a week with another son and his crew. By the time I get home the weeds should be up to my knees, so I will have to get out to the garden to slay them.

Hello all! Thanks for always starting the thread nyleneHope you get some downtime this month joyfulnanaWow - busy month grammadeeDh starts the month with a business trip M-TH and then we're hoping to head to Mississippi for a weekend mid-month to see DS (provided his schedule works out). Then DD19 has her wisdom teeth out on the 21st. I think that's all we have planned at the moment. It's been HOT here since last weekend - upper 90s, hovering around 100 with feels like a bit higher. We had a good rain yesterday morning but we could use more.

I had to go back and catch up with what I missed last month lol LisaDV! Those T-shirts are sooooo cool! I love them! But I love all things Avenger and Ironman is my favorite lol. But seriously, great job on them!! grammadee I did watch the GOT documentary, or I've been watching it in snippets I should say. It made me feel bad for the cast and all the people working so hard behind the scenes, with all the backlash the last season has taken. Those people put their heart and soul into this show. I'm so glad you were able to baby your gallbladder and are feeling better! woodysbetty you are in your new house! That's awesome! but like nylene said, the boxes will be there tomorrow so take care of yourself! nylene the 100 cookies adventure ended up about 2 dozen but he doesn't know that lol. He was bouncing off the walls with excitement to get started. I guess he had been talking about it non-stop for two days beforehand lol. Cleaning and laundry for me today. I do have a 2 pager done which has to be a miracle that I would start and finish a layout on the same day and also on the first day of the challenge month. I'm looking forward to more scrapping. My knitting fell by the wayside and I need to pick that back up this month too.

nylene , glad to see you in the team challenges this month. When is cousins camp? joyfulnana , it will be fun to get together with your mom once a month for a crop whether you get a lot done or not. Sorry work was so brutal. I hope it lessens up this month, and you get some time. Thanks for the t-shirt compliment. My DH's & friends game con is called 3000 society, so DH's friend thought it would be cool to have it on a t-shirt. There wasn't enough time to order anything. DH said his friend was super excited about them. DH is already peculating ideas for next year. I think there is a scroll holder in my future. I bet Rudy was so cute making the cookies. I miss that age. (I miss every age though, they never last long enough.) grammadee , my DH has a robotic weed puller. He just got it and we didn't put up a garden this year. You so need one to work while you are away. I hope you have a wonderful trip. And that they choose the right adventures at Orlando for your paper. Let us know what happens at the consult. Linda , yikes. My dd would melt at 90. It was 79 in the house yesterday. I had to turn on the air. If they left the screens in the windows I could have just opened more windows. But I can only find less than half of the first floor screens. I'm missing only my bedroom upstairs. I haven't even tried the basement windows yet, but I think they are there. (fingers crossed). woodysbetty, sorry that you haven't been doing well. Take your time with those dang boxes. kellyr21, sorry the bird has flown away. A pea has a nest on her porch and has been sharing videos and photos on instagram. www.instagram.com/meg_ro/ that's her if you want to follow. I have some laundry to finish and the floors before DS & DH get back today. The temp is only 60 today. I was hoping for warmer for a dip in the pool. We did get in Friday. Yesterday it was possible thunderstorms. We should have gone anyway because it didn't hit until evening. This month is busy for me as well. Birthdays, farm trip, and more wall paper removal now that the tshirts are finished. Also FIL has to come visit sometime since he hasn't seen the place yet. So if I'm not around this month, it's due to a not much excitement.

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Waving hello to all the Pokeys. Tagging maribeth so she can find us here. Too bad about the pool, LisaDV. Hope you and your dd had some other fun relaxing things to do while the guys were away. Glad your dgs had fun making all those cookies, joyfulnana. I hope you got some photos of all that excitement. I wish it could be bottled: there are lots of days I could certainly use a shot of that! I have not watched the whole of the GOT documentary, but I found what I did see really interesting, especially hearing the stories of the staff and the extras. When I saw that thing that looked like a mechanical bull in front of the green screen, I thought perhaps the crew had a bit of fun and actually edited IN some of Kit's being thrown off balance the first time he was on it: perfect for his first dragon ride in the show! Bet you are really excited about seeing your ds again, Linda. Will he be based there for the next couple of years? Or is this a shorter stint? One week from today will be my first full day in Orlando. I can take 90F. Wouldn't want it much hotter, but it will be what it will be. We have a pool right behind our complex (and we might be right next to the splash park too) and AC inside. Not sure which venues we will be visiting, but any of them are fine with me, and I know we will be spending at least one day just hanging out at the resort in and out of the pool. Did you get your washer repaired, nylene? Or are you still getting valet laundry service? We had a quiet weekend. We brought home two half-ton loads of sand which dh off loaded at the edge of the back yard. He had started digging the hole it is supposed to go in to, between moving the sprinkler on the garden. This is one of the driest Junes ever. The grass is going dormant just like it usually does the end of August. I have been watering bedding plants by hand every evening, but now that he has started using the sprinkers, hopefully they be able to get some residual moisture from the soil so they can go a few days without needing that. Here are a couple of pages I put together. I texted my dgd a pic of them and she was really happy with them. Purrfect Advice by Gramma Dee, on Flickr purrfect advice 2 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr And my fathers day cards are ready. I will be mailing two of them on Tuesday and taking two with me. fathers' day '19 the dads by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Dh's will be left on the table at home here for him to open when the day arrives. It is a shameless lift of justjac's birthday card for her father in law. fathers day '19 grampa by Gramma Dee, on Flickr This morning dh and I went for brunch for Fathers' Day as I will not be home before then, and dh picked out his gift at the farm supply store: a folding outdoor rocking chair. Monday is my surgical consult. I also have to pick up some clothing I had ordered on line that was delivered to a store in the city. Tuesday I will be packing, and then Wednesday I will be on the road for Calgary.

LisaDV - my a/c has been on for months...and I'm grateful we got a new one two years ago that can actually keep up even when it's 100+ grammadee - SO excited to see him! He'll only be in Mississippi about a month (training)and then he'll have a month-ish home on leave before he heads to his next assignment in Virginia - he'll be there for at least 3 years, maybe longer

Happy Monday! Hope you had a nice weekend. We had fun at the Greek food festival. It was our first time going and they had food, music, dancing, vendors and educational classes. We went in the church and omg, it was so beautiful. There were painting walls of various saints and Christian themes. I took pictures and will share.
I am starting a series on my blog called "Inspired She." I hope to have interviews, writings, pics and stories to inspire us creatives. Check out my first post about it. Not sure how often I will post but I will let y'all know. I had this idea for a while and so glad to finally kicking it off.
Inspired She
LisaDV- Wow, that lady who shared the hummingbird pictures on Instagram were awesome. I did know you could get so close. It was amazing how the nest was on the light cord. I guess that's how they build there nest on flimsy things. Thanks for sharing this. Oh, an tips on t-shirt vinyl? I want to make some word shirts. I got some vinyl at M's but it wasn't for cotton shirts. What type do you get?
nylene- Yeah there! I see cousins camp is on the way! I know you all will have a great time.
grammadee- Oh you cards and layouts are so good. I like those cards. I struggle to make masculine cards and you knocked it out the park. Your family trip sounds fun. Do you all go there every year? I haven't been to Orlando yet but maybe one day I will go. We have Disneyland here but I think Disneyworld is a whole different experience.
Waving hi to you all and have a good day.

linda I have had the A/C on for a couple weeks as well. It isn't hot so much as humid and I can't stand that lol. That's such good news that your DS will be closer for at least years!! I know how much you've missed him. LisaDV it's funny how many tools they don't mind us having if there is something they want us to make lol. I remind myself all the time when he's wearing me out that Rudy won't be this age forever and to enjoy it while it lasts. I hope I don't forget I signed up for a sketch for this month lol. I should probably start that one this week so I can be sure and have it finished in time lol. I hope you can make time to get some crafting in this month. grammadee I'm with Lisa, I hope you enjoy your trip and that the activities match the paper! We've had so much rain this spring that I'm willing to share. Flood warnings nearly everyday it seems since early April. Fortunately I'm nowhere near it, but I do wonder about the farmers and how they will manage. nylene I just love your cousins camps LO's. Such great memories for all the cousins when they are grown! kellyr21 - I'm looking forward to this series! Your weekend sounds fun! I really need to make the time to explore around here on the weekends. But when it comes to choices, I always choose staying in to scrap lol. I'm such a homebody though I was going to email the lawyer to see if there is anything I need to do on my end about the ticket. Oldest DS told me I should leave the lawyer alone and let him do his job lol. To act like I had done this before So I guess I will wait to hear from him. I hadn't thought about the fact that I was basically paying the lawyer to go to court for me.

I am back at home. The surgeon thinks that surgery is a last ditch option for me, to be used only if something acute happens like a severe infection. Because of all the scar tissue, they would have to open me up rather than doing it laproscopically. And the mesh has risks as well. So I guess I will figure out how to live with this. Thanks for all the well wishes for my trip. kellyr21, we don't go to Orlando every year, usually, although we have a time share there. Dh and I have been there a couple of times on our own, I went with one of my sons and his family a few years ago, and then we went as a whole group last August. This time I am going with a different son and his family. Have only been to Disneyland in LA once and that was years ago when our kids were all in school. The biggest difference between the two is sheer size! Each of the parks--for example Animal Kingdom--is as large or larger than the whole of Disneyland. Disney Springs, which used to be Downtown Disney, is a whole town on its own. Tomorrow I need to get everything organized here and get my stuff packed. Think I will take a small suitcase just for Calgary, and then a larger one for Florida. Have some new clothes to pack! I had ordered some capris on line for pick up in store, and when I stopped in to pick them up today I ended up buying some tops as well. I just love the tunic styles and colours of the tops this year!

kellyr21 - I love Greek festival food! your blog sounds interesting! joyfulnana - I'm sure the lawyer has it under control grammadee - I'm glad that you don't have to have surgery especially since it sounds complicated but I hope you don't have too many issues from the gallbladder. Enjoy your trip to Orlando - we really need to plan one - DD12 was only 2 when we went last and she's been complaining about not remembering it. We're only 3 or so hours away so...

grammadee, I hope that you can live with your condition without having flare ups. I understand about the mesh issue. Dh had that concern with some hernias. Hugs to you and prayers for settling that GB down and behaving itself. I would hate to have the surgery w/o laproscopy! Have a wonderful time in Orlando. We loved Animal Kingdom so much that we spent 2 days in just that park. Travel safely. joyfulnana, 100 or a dozen, cookie making with grandkids is always a fun adventure. I'm glad you had the time to let him do that activity. Wonderful memories! Good luck with your stocking this month. I hope it goes well and you don't have any more picking it out. I can't wait to see it when you finish. kellyr21, I have never been to a Greek Festival and am not sure I have eaten Greek food. I'm glad you had a great time together. Your new blog idea sounds great. I look forward to it. Angie says it has been hot in No. CA, how has it been at your home? We are getting temps in the low 70's every day or two, but still lots of rain. Linda, could you please send us some of your warm temperatures and I will send our rain to grammadee, and everyone will be happy. LOL. You are really getting a lot of pages done. I love your Japanese papers, what paper line is that? I still have a few Japan pages to do, but it's probably no longer available. LisaDV, congrats on finishing the shirts. I'm sure they will love them even if they don't realize the amt of work they are. Your DH will! I had to look up robo weeder. Wow, that is incredible. Let us know how it does. It sounds so interesting and could be so nice for a big garden. You are a busy lady. Take time for relaxing. I'm sure the pool will be a great de-stresser once the weather warms up. Someone asked about Cousin Camp. It is June 17-18. Invitations will go out tomorrow. I need to take a photo and count up points on them. I try to do something every day to get ready. DD is making a big Dino with his mouth open that can be used for throwing bean bags. The little boys will enjoy that. I set up an appt with the Sears people to repair my washer. Their first appt was Monday, which was almost a week from when I called. Monday morning they called and had an emergency and wouldn't be able to come until next Friday, June 7. We decided to check locally and found a repair man who came today, spent 15 minutes, fixed it and was on his way. We should have done that in the first place. It was an inexpensive fix and the guy said we should repair that washer for as long as possible. I guess we were lucky to buy a real workhorse that goes, and goes and goes with tiny repairs. He even offered to buy it from us if we were thinking of getting a new one!! It's at least 10 years old. Have a great week, everyone.

nylene - it's Photoplay Paper Crane - my HL has it clearanced at 2.49 for the collection pack at the moment which is an outstanding deal. You're more than welcome to the warm temperatures - we have thunderstorms today through early next week so the temps will be about 10 degrees lower (so 89-93 instead of upper 90s/100+) and lows will be around 68-74 (which is where I wish it was all day). I am feeling accomplished and productive at the moment - several albums are DONE and on the shelf and a couple of others are caught up. My family album is woefully behind though but at least I'm keeping up on printing photos for it so when I get these two travel albums done for DS, I should be able to get going on it. I'm hoping to have his done before he comes home on leave next month. Great news on the washer - yes, hang on to it if it's a workhorse. We've been in this house 10 years this Nov and we're on washer #3 - they just don't make them like they used to. I did buy a bit better/more expensive model this time around so hopefully it'll last longer.

Happy Thursday night! Hope you all had a nice day. Waving hi! Here is my first "Inspired She" post about my time at the women's expo last month. So happy to finally share this with you. Kelly's Blog PostI have been crocheting and was so bummed to find out my group was cancelled tonight. But I will keep working and have some fun stuff to share with them next time. I decided to make a giant "granny square" into a blanket. It's getting there. Also, I need there help in figuring out what to do with all the smaller squares I made over the weeks. nylene- How is the washer? Doesn't that washer know you have a cousin's camp coming up? LOL! I hope you are doing well and getting ready for the fun times. We had a a couple of warmer days but tonight the clouds showed up and got very cool. I am holding on the cool as long as I can. Just like you dislike winter cold, I dislike hot, hot weather. grammadee- I hope you feel better too. You got some exciting trips coming and I am wishing you body stays happy.

I've been reading this thread and catching up on your busy lives. grammadee, I'm glad the surgeon was upfront with you about avoiding the surgery if at all possible. Sounds like some very serious business. Stay healthy! nylene, I hope you and Steve are both feeling healthy too. Cousin Camp is shaping up nicely! kellyr21, what a great expo - I think it's awesome that your DH agreed to go with you. LisaDV, those are the coolest shirts! I haven't done any crafting at all this month. I started a few purging/organizing projects, and I've finally been exercising a little bit more (DD has really been pushing hard) but that's about it for me. I'm so proud of this girl (she's the one with all the health issues.) She's enrolled in an adult ed course to get her diploma! and she also just got her learner's permit. I'll have to make some time to take her out driving. And DD16 has finals next week, and then I'll have to schedule her permit test too. Two student drivers in the house, aye aye aye. My other DD is hanging around fighting boredom until she starts her internship in 2 weeks. I'm thinking about paying her for some yardwork, but I'd need to be out there with her, and I'm too exhausted from trying to keep up with her sister. So, I'm busy busy but accomplishing little for myself. Still, it feels so good to watch their lives taking off in a good direction. It's been a good summer so far

hi everyone!! DS is in the air! He left Japan early this morning (japan time - early Fri evening Eastern Time) and is due into Mississippi just before midnight Central time (which is early afternoon Sunday Japan time) - very very long trip. I wish there was a LOVE button! Yay!! I'm so excited for you! I'm sure he is back in the US now. Did he enjoy his time in Japan? Maybe a silly question, but you never know lol. I am really loving your Japan album for DS. I think those have been my favorite pages of yours. nylene so glad the washer was an easy fix! That's one big reason I don't look into buying a house, I don't want to worry about that stuff. Especially since neither of my boys are mechanically inclined lol. kellyr21 your weekend at the women's expo looked so inspiring! Can't wait to see what you do with it! I had to LOL @ you're wondering what to do with the smaller granny squares - I remember when people used granny squares and beer cans to make hats! LOL! My mom made quite a few vests with granny squares. woodysbetty how are things coming along? I hope you are feeling better and settling in. I had a quiet weekend for me, spent it scrapping and organizing photos and sketches. I've scrapped off and on for 20 years and have never taken the time to get a good workflow, that's what I've been working on lately. Hope you all have a great rest of the week!

joyfulnana - he is back in the States - his trip ended up being a bit of nightmare as his final flight (Dallas to Gulfport) was cancelled and he ended up driving the 9+ hours in the middle of the night after 30 hrs of travel already. And his luggage didn't reach him until yesterday evening. But he's safe and sound and I'll get to see him this weekend - we're driving up Fri (abt 6 hrs) and will spend Sat and Sun with him and then drive home Mon. He did enjoy his time in Japan - he had wanted an overseas posting so he could see new places and he did quite a bit of travel while he was there (which was why he didn't come home on leave at all).

That’s awesome. I’m so happy he made it safe and sound. But 9 hours of driving on top of 30 hours of travel couldn’t have been fun!
I got a letter from the lawyer that my ticket has been reduced to a non moving violation and is closed. Nothing on my record and no fines. Whew!! Now to start driving like the grandma I am! 😂

Linda , I am so glad your DS is on US soil. I hope you have a wonderful reunion on the weekend! joyfulnana, congrats on the ticket. That was a tender mercy for you! I am so far behind this month. On Wed, I stepped off a curb wrong and really messed up my bad knee. I couldn't put weight on it for 2 days and felt like I had cartilage stuck in the "hinge". Little by little it is getting better. I am walking without too much pain, but really can't do all I need to do. I have spent 9 hours at the kitchen table making paper mache Dino eggs. Last night I cut them open and added the dinos inside. Today I painted them slightly with white paint. I made a big box into a nest and have them all ready for the big day on Monday. I am just hoping the knee cooperates all week. The T-shirts were delivered and I am getting excited. The Calif, kids will be here this weekend. I will try to catch up later. So much to do, so little time! LOL

Nylene, praying your knee is better by cousins camp! I have knee trouble, also, so I know how they can stop you cold!
Gramadee, prayers also for your gb to stop flaring up and behave!
Kelly, love hearing about your adventures and projects.
Lisadv, your life has me totally confused. I never can figure out where you are or which project you are working on. You and gramadee make me dizzy!
Joyfulana, so happy you get to spend time with your son. I enjoyed being with my 3 daughters last month, too.
I've almost completed my Virginia trip scrapbooks. They went fast and easy. I separated Williamsburg and Shenandoah. Williamsburg is 8x8 and Shenandoah 12x12 with a mix of 1 page with a 5x7 followed by a pocket page.
Dh did a great job of capturing those blue mountains and the wildflowers. Williamsburg was more difficult to capture but I think we ended up getting some good memories on paper. I did not take my camera because I did not want to carry it through the airports It nearly killed me last time I did that. We always have to change planes and dfw is huge! I did better with my phone than I usually do, though. I really enjoyed learning more history portrayed by the actors and the people who work there.
We also went to 2 concerts.. Both featuring harpsichord.
This is my 2nd time using some pocket pages (which I swore I'd never do) it was much easier this time. I won't post any pics since we are having issues with too many here and I'm too lazy to learn how to do flicker. I'm looking at all your projects and enjoying them. I plan to start doing some of the challenges now that I'm finished with Virginia.

Hello, Pokeys! I can’t believe it is already mid week. This Florida vacation is flying by! Yesterday we had a long day at Magic Kingdom. 7:30AM to midnight if you measure from leaving the condo and arriving back here. The kids dealt with heat and waiting in line really well. We all had a good time, but we’re exhausted, so today is another hang out at the pool day. Think everyone is having a nap this afternoon. We have a water park on the agenda for Thursday and Animal Kingdom Friday. Ouch, nylene! You need to baby those knees, especially with everything you need to do for Cousin Camp! Good to hear you don’t have to pay that humongous ticket, joyfulnana. That must be a relief! Would love to see your pages, @elaynef. Flickr is not that tough if you stay logged into it like I do on my home computer. This week I downloaded Tapatalk. That makes it easy to upload pics from a cellphone. I might take it off when I get home, though b/c although LisaDV helped me to take off the annoying alerts whenever someone posts on the Peas, it still floods my email with them. Hope you have a wonderful visit with your son, Linda. And it must be a comfort to have him closer to home.

kellyr21, loved hearing of your expo and looking forward to more of your Inspired She series and to what you do with your new inspiration. Yum to Greek food. The hummingbird lady set up a camera (security one I think) to capture the birds close by. Although you can see she put her phone up there a few times too when it was really small. He left the nest the other day. Kind of made me sad and happy all at once. For my t-shirts I used Siser easyweed HTV. When I did my first shirt, I bought from Amazon a pack of multiple colors. With this last batch of T’s I purchased from The Rhinestone World. They have good prices and great customer service. But I was buying a lot of each color that I needed. Do you already have the shirts? You could just buy a shirt that will match your HTV. Just be sure to follow the directions on the HTV. joyfulnana, I hope you find a workflow that works for you. I think it’s something everyone struggles with at one point or another. I feel like it’s like organizing. You find something that works for a while and then you change something, and it has to be changed as well. Maybe that’s just me though. YAY! To having your ticket reduced!! That’s awesome. grammadee, I’m sorry you can’t have surgery to help you, but thankful for your knowledgeable surgeon. I think the email flood is a tap-a-talk setting not an iphone setting. Look there. I don’t get email alerts at all from tapatalk, I do get them from proboards. My email just 75% of those into the spam folder automatically now since I usually just hit delete. But in the past, I turned off email notification and it stopped notifying me on the board notification. They may have fixed that bug by now, but I haven’t tried again. nylene, I’m glad your washer was an easy fix and you found a repairman that you know to call now. It’s always good to have reliable repairmen. I’m so sorry that you messed up your knee. I hope it heals before Cousin Camp. msliz, I so need to exercise more. I miss my treadmill for cooler and rainy days like today. The pool has been good exercise when we’ve been able to go in. I’m proud of your DD too! She’s doing amazing things! But yikes to 2 student drivers. I feel for you. @elaynef, lol. I’m sorry I’m confusing. It sometimes feels like that to me too. Usually I just say what takes precedence today. Yay to having your Virginia albums done. woodysbetty, how’s summer and unboxing going? I hope you are taking care of you. Boxes will always be there later. Linda, you should be getting ready for your weekend trip to see your DS. I wish you the safest of travels! I'm so excited for you! Farm trip is over. DS goes back to the ortho next month and the braces will come off. DS cannot wait. I cannot wait. DD will also go back to the doctor’s that week in July. The new medicine has been helping. The doctor started her on a low dose and since she’s shown some progress without any negative side effects, she doubled her dosage. We’ll see where this puts her. She did get extremely ill after the doctor visit last Tuesday due to travel sickness. Construction season did not bode well for her. Stop and go traffic. We went ahead and traveled home yesterday with a few unplanned detours making a hard time for her, but DS took over entertaining her with 20 questions and then a music challenge. They pick 2 songs they think they know well enough to sing all the way through. The other gets to choose what they sing. Smart kids though, they never want me to join the music challenge. Sunday FIL comes over and DH is making a jello cake for him. He and his dad both like this. Unfortunately, for DH the kids and I do not like jello. Since we don’t he bought the Jello brand which I don’t buy because of the artificial dyes and cool whip, which I also don’t buy because of the chemicals. I have to figure out what to make for the rest of us for dessert and for the day’s food. Plus I just found a rhubarb barbecue sauce I want to try for the chicken we’ll be grilling. Tuesday is DH’s birthday, so I am making my homemade cannelloni. I haven’t made it much since I didn’t have a lot of room at the farm for rolling pasta out, plus DD can’t have the pasta, but I’ve found a good brand of frozen paleo pasta that does lasagna sheets that I can use for hers. I will make a pan for the freezer too. He either wants a lemon chiffon cake or an atomic cake which is a south side Chicago cake with 3 layers (banana, white, and chocolate cake and a vanilla custard with bananas and a Bavarian cream with strawberries and topped with a whipped cream icing). I’m thinking the easier lemon chiffon, unless he’ll let me do the layers gluten free on the automic so DD can have it. If I’m not around for the next several days, it’s because I’m in the kitchen or catching up on housework.

Happy Thursday! I hope you all are having a good day. We had a little heatwave but today feels back to normal. Thanks for all your cheers and support for my "Inspired She" series. Tomorrow I will post another one.
Also, I am almost finished with my crochet blanket. It is so big now and I will share pics soon.
knutschen- Jana, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! I hope you are having a ball today.
nylene - Oh no!!! I hope that knee is ok and you are ok. You got cousin's camp coming. I hope your dgc spoil you with love and care while they are there. You deserve it! Keep us posted.
grammadee - What a fun trip you are having! I look forward to seeing some of your pics and hearing about some of your fav moments. Have a safe trip home.
LisaDV - Your ds is an amazing brother and son. How sweet of him to distract your dd with fun games to help her. And what a brave girl she is for even enduring the trip. I pray God showers wonderful blessing on her and your whole family. Thanks for the iron on tips. I want to try it out this weekend. Where did you get your t-shirts? I'll let you know if I have more questions. Yes, I know how you feel. I miss our little hummingbird but glad for it at the some time. I just went and took a closer look at that nest. What an engineering job that moma bird did. I wonder if they are still here or if they migrate? Not sure. Thanks for sharing that Instagram site. That was incredible.
@elaynef - I have never tried the pocket scrapping before. I am glad you liked it. Also, way to go on those albums you are almost finish with. Cheers for you!
joyfulnana - Great your ticket issue got resolved. I know you are relieved.
Waving hi to all you other ladies and have a nice evening!

Thanks for sharing your Inspired She posts, kellyr21. They are—wait for it—inspirational! Happy belated birthday, knutschen. Hope you had a great day. LisaDV, I hope all goes well this busy weekend. What exactly is your dh’s version of a Jello cake? Your birthday cake sounds delicious. Hope you can share a pic. Kids are up, so time to get ready for our last day of Disney...
