I have an outdoor wedding coming up and I really don’t want to wear stockings. I typically do to conceal my varicose veins. Tanning helps some but I was considering leg makeup. Does any one know of a good brand that won’t rub off even if set with powder?

Does any one know of a good brand that won’t rub off even if set with powder? The Sally Hansen spray makeup works well, doesn't come off until you wash it off.

I’m not sure how it would work for varicose veins but Sol de Janeiro makes Glowmotions which are a really nice color option for legs. I’m very fair and use the Copacabana Bronze and it’s not too dark at all, but takes the edge off my glowing whiteness. You do have to blend well.

I like the sally Hansen stuff too. I buff it in with a self tanning mfoam mitt instead of spraying it on. Slightly dampen the mitt and then spray onto the mitt and buff on your legs.

Love the Sally Hansen. I recommend it all the time! I spray on then rub in/blend it. Give it a few minutes to dry/set before you get dressed. If you don’t put in too much (a little goes a long way), it shouldn’t transfer much.

So I checked Amazon and there are a few different Sally Hansen sprays. Which one are you guys using?

I’ve used the spray for at least a decade, and switched to the lotion a couple of years ago. You have to rub the spray in anyway, and it always made a mess in my bathroom, so the lotion is just easier all around. I also use a mitt to apply, and I have a designated makeup brush for blending around my ankles and onto my feet.
ETA: I use the light, but I am very fair.

I will have to give it a test run. Hopefully I can get some tan too once school is finally over.

I have very pale legs that are white, white, white. I refuse to use tanning beds or get a tan (I want to avoid skin cancer) so last year I decided to try the Sally Hansen lotion. It works so well I was so surprised and it was easy to apply. I just squirted a portion out onto my leg and then used my hands to blend, blend, blend it in very fast as quickly as I could all over that one leg and into my foot. Then I did the other leg and washed and scrubbed my hands.
I don't normally use a tanning product that applies color to your body at all-this was my first attempt. I'm too paranoid about the chemicals in them. But this did the job I needed it to do perfectly. It added just the right amount of color that the rest of me didn't look strange at all in contrast, but my legs weren't glaring white anymore.
I chose the lightest color in the available-I think it is called light.
