OP ~ I found a lamp that I had to have instantly at Hobby Lobby. It’s a big table lamp, and I love it. Not real crazy about the drum shaped shade. But the lamp itself is frigging awesome. And only $ 50. they are almost always half off.

Right now, I'm looking for a bracket that will allow me to hang two old canoe paddles on the wall of our bakehouse.
I want to cross the paddles. There are lots of you tube videos about how to hang canoe paddles, but my husband and I aren't hand, and I thought maybe there would be some magic bracket which we could nail to the wall and it would hold the paddles in place. I haven't been able to find anything like that so far.

All of it. I hate choosing anything especially furniture. It seems like no one sells quality furniture anymore, it’s all particle board junk. And if we ever do find something decent it costs a freaking fortune. I’ve been looking for a big dining table for our cabin. Nothing too fancy or too rustic but in between. Needs to seat about 8 because we frequently have potlucks with the neighbors and we have a good sized group. I’ve really been shell shocked by the prices I’ve seen for sets like that. It’s insane. I’m almost ready to tell DH to find some plans on Ana-White.com for a farmhouse table and just build it himself. We had the exact same issue, I was looking for a good quality table for our lake house that seated 8 and couldn’t find anything but cheaply made crap that was still super expensive! I finally found a woodworker on Facebook Marketplace who had listed a 6’ solid wood table and bench he built, for really reasonable money. It was exactly what we were looking for, but he could have built whatever we wanted if it wasn’t the right fit. I also purchased 2 other furniture pieces for this house on Marketplace from different sellers. Don’t rule out the deals you can find on there! Good luck, Lisa

@merge do you have any Amish communities near you? We have been buying our wooden furniture pieces from the same family for over 30 years and the quality and price are excellent. If you aren't in a hurry to get it, you can customize it to almost anything you want. We have a store in our area that sells primarily Amish built furniture, it’s where we got our current bedroom set. But they want $$$$ for it. It’s not that it isn’t worth it, it’s just that we don’t have that much money to spend. I think our oak bed frame with drawers underneath and a big dresser together were close to $3K ten years ago. MIL bought them for us or we couldn’t have afforded them and we needed to consolidate space in our bedroom to accommodate DD’s bassinet when she was a newborn. That's a shame. We have an Amish gentleman that we have been buying from for over 30 years. (well, we started with his grandfather) A few years ago we bought a beautiful dresser from him for $400. A few months later we saw the exact dresser in an "Amish Furniture Store" for $2400. We can seriously buy a full bedroom set from him for less than that.
