May she rest in peace.

She must have been on the new 90210 because I don't recognize her at all. That is sad.

Very sad, especially dying of natural causes at age 40.

So sad. On 7th Heaven, she married Matt (oldest son) and was in the last 2-3 seasons.

I am trying to picture her in any of those shows and I can't.
Very sad, too young to die.

She played Matt's wife. Her character name was Sarah, too. There was the big to-do because she was Jewish and they wanted a Jewish wedding. She had curly hair on the show.

Yup, she was Matt's wife. Didn't they get married in secret on the show before having a wedding with the family? I didn't wantch the old or new 90210.

She was Liam's mom on 90210. So sad and kind of eerie happening on the same day the other news did. She was very young, I am sorry for her friends and family.

What are natural causes at 40? As far as I'm concerned there are no natural causes that occur at such a young age. 70-90? Yes, old age. 40? No, no, no. We aren't supposed to die in our 40s

We aren't supposed to die in our 40s I thought the same thing. But, maybe they were just trying to say that she did not kill herself, or take drugs, or drink, or anything else that a lot of celebrities do to ruin their lives. I always think along the same lines when I read an obituary of someone in their 90s that says "cause of death is unknown". Well... yes, I'd say it's known, it's because they were in their 90s! Anyway, I had no idea who Sarah Goldberg was but it's very sad, especially because she was so young.

We aren't supposed to die in our 40s I've known a couple of people who died quite young in their sleep (undetected heart problems I think). Although it's not common, it does happen. And it is "natural" as opposed to overdosing, etc.

We aren't supposed to die in our 40s I've heard of people dying very young due to brain aneurisms. There was DJ in Chicago that died very suddenly and very young in the 1990s, he had a brain aneurism. It was heartbreaking.

It would be "died of heart problem, aneurysm, etc." Which brings me back to my point that at 40 it's not "natural."

It's a medical definition meaning the death was caused by internal disease or malfunction - without external forces.

You can tell me that the medical community calls it natural until you are blue in the face. My point still stands...there's nothing natural about a seemingly healthy woman dying at the age of 40. There just isn't.

The article I read said she had recently had some heart issues and passed away in her sleep. I can't find the link as it was one linked from the other Seventh Heaven news stories.
I actually didn't watch the show but read the stories because his face was so familiar. I was going to check and see what other shows/movies he had been in.

We aren't supposed to die in our 40s It's hard to say. My dad died in his sleep at the age of 63. My grandparents died at the ages of 98 and 99. If he had been 70, I'd still feel cheated out of the extra 28 and 29 years I could have had with him like I had with my grandparents. ETA: Her name is not familiar to me, so sad she died at such a young age.

There just isn't. Well, since she just passed away there may not have been time to have had the autopsy done. After the autopsy is completed and a specific cause of death is known the family may release that information, or they may not. As others have said, "natural causes" is a way for the family to express it was not suicide, homicide, or drug/alcohol related.

63 seems young to me too. I think I read that the coroner couldn't determine the cause of death, so called it natural. Even so, my uncle died at 49 of natural causes. He was a drug addict and a drinker his whole life. At the time of death he had stopped drugs and alcohol. His death wasn't natural even though that's what the death certificate says. My grandmother died two weeks before my uncle of natural causes. She was 90. That I could accept.

There just isn't. Your point makes no sense. Even at 90, natural causes means something happened internally. The same natural cause can kill a person at 40 can kill someone at 90. If you use the term to describe it as natural at 90, you use it to describe it as natural as 40, no matter how "unnatural" you may think it is.

I'm not trying to make sense. I'm simply describing how I feel. Yes, my grandmother officially had a heart attack, but her heart had been beating for 90 years...nobody lives forever.
I guess in reality I'm thinking that FUCK I'm 41 and my time could be up tomorrow...and it would be natural. I think at this age what's going to take me out is a car accident, cancer (which by these definitions IS natural), or some other freak accident. I don't ever consider that I could go to sleep tonight and never wake up and have it be determined as natural.
And really, I'm not here to argue. Like I said. YOu can tell me it's 'natural' until you are blue in the face. I can't accept that it's natural to die at 40. It's not natural for parents to bury their children.
