Beautiful but way too formal, dark, and a bit too gaudy (kitchen and zebra room in particular). The only room I really liked was the sage green bedroom with a much lighter/botanical look.
I wanted more color, flowers outside...not all the hedges and lawn.

I feel like all the 'rich people homes' look so formal. And generic. It's like something happens to your personal taste and style when you get rich and a team of interior designers come in and spend money on things that may very well be the most expensive flooring/baths/light fittings etc but they're usually dull and there's no warmth or personality there. But what do I know?!

There isn't one thing about that house that I like, too bland, too boring.

But what do I know?! I enjoy browsing through property websites, and looking at houses I could never afford. But so often the decor is so bland and uninspiring that all the houses blend into one. I get that people think bland means it’s easier to imagine yourself living there, but I find the opposite. And why do the kitchens all look the same? They’re either all white, or all dark wood. I prefer white, but not when the walls are pale grey, the floor is square grey ceramic tiles, and there is not a splash of colour anywhere. Dark wood is always combined with generic beige square tiles, and is so depressing and ugly. Anyway, that’s what I think!

That kitchen was a let down. All that space and they shoehorn in a rather drab, dark, dinky kitchen that feels claustrophobic in comparison to the massiveness of the other rooms. There comes a point (especially in modern architecture) when these homes feel like a commercial business. I never feel that way when I see photos of some of the great country houses in the UK or some of the really large estates in New England. Even at their massive size, they look like someone's home.

17 acres on Paces Ferry!?! Damnnnnn....... I feel like all the 'rich people homes' look so formal. I am a little curious about the bed down in what I assume is the spa room though. Seems a little random. Exactly what I was wondering about. And did you notice the table in the right of the photo that was covered with a sheet? I am assuming it is a massage table? Hmmm...

It looks like Jay Gatsby’s house.

Since my tennis skills are somewhat, say, unpredictable.....I'd have a real problem playing a match on the roof of the guest house. Long way to chase balls that go over the fence.

Not my jam. at all. Some of those dark rooms remind me of the Stark family crypt.

The interior design is not my style at all. I'm fascinated by all the heavy ceiling treatments, which make it look like the ceilings are really low. So, a very spacious home has a very cramped feeling to it. Note to self: when I have 21 million dollars, make sure I don't buy a house with low ceilings.

Work is trying to get me to relocate to Atlanta...I’ll tell them this is what it takes. :-) Several years ago I was there three days and the traffic was a huge mess. One day the road buckled because of the heat, and another day a beer truck toppled and beer went everywhere. This was all during the time a major bridge had closed because someone had set it on fire (or something like that). It made Denver traffic look like a drive in the park!

No thanks, I can pass on that. The first thing I thought when the pictures started was that it was too like an hotel and not a home. I couldn't relax in somewhere that tidy! I did like the vaulted area although it was a little low. Other areas had far too much wood for my taste.

i'm more curious about where Tyler Perry is moving to and what that house will look like info on his new homeThe home in the OP is in the heart of Atlanta / Buckhead. His new home is south of the city near his new film studio. He does such amazing things - usually pretty quietly - for people in Atlanta and elsewhere. I really admire him and his commitment to our city.

Whoah - that's a lot of picture frames. Holy crap. Way too cluttered and not that much warmer to me. I liked one room that was yellow/blue. I think I like the small guest house on the property better! Why do rich people all like fringe on their couches?

The Tyler Perry house is tasteful and has some beautiful rooms, although it is not generally to my style. However - I give huge props for not going to the excess of stripper poles and runways and mirrored ceilings that I've seen online in other wealthy men's homes.

I love the pool and waterfall. Looks very resort-like.
