Got one of my Prime deliveries today. And when I went to check the tracking on the other items, I saw this on today's delivery:
My delivery, exactly where they had placed it on my front porch, in photo form.
Kinda liking that touch! At least there was delivery proof.

Fairly new - I've been getting photos for about a month now - I will get an email along with a photo of the package at my door. I like it and I understand why they do it - proof of delivery You hear about packages getting stolen and now they can prove - "hey, it was delivered to your door"

I have been getting them for quite some time. Probably a year at least. However, when they take a pic of my package laying in the middle of my driveway I would like an automatic button where I can report them for crappy service š

I like it and I understand why they do it - proof of delivery Y ou hear about packages getting stolen and now they can prove - "hey, it was delivered to your door" It doesn't really prove anything apart from the fact that they took a photo of it. There's nothing to stop a dishonest delivery person taking that photo and then picking up the package afterwards.

I believe it is a service that is only provided when Amazon themselves deliver, not USPS or UPS.

I wish all services did this. I do recall seeing a security cam video of a driver doing just what @dottyscrapper describes - you see him place the package down, take a photo, and then scoop it right back up and walk back to the truck. cakediva, that driver did a nice job of hiding the package!

I read your thread as is Amazon photos a new thing? Like prints of photos. I was going to answer I don't know, but I've ordered a couple of times.
I've never received a photo, but I don't live in a highly populated area.

We have been getting pics since around the holidays last year. Now we can see how stops away our delivery is before itās delivered by Amazon.

New to me. It seems to be just the delivery guy in the Mercedes van that takes the photos here.

However, when they take a pic of my package laying in the middle of my driveway I would like an automatic button where I can report them for crappy service š Happened to me once and I ran it over!! It was autumn and there were leaves in the drive and the box was obscured. I contacted Amazon who put me in contact with the 3rd party carrier who delivered it and they were super sorry and paid for my replacement!

I havenāt got a photo notification for a long timeābut we live off the road farther than most city lots, and I have a covered porch so itās pretty secluded.

Iāve been getting them for quite a while now, but only when itās delivered by Amazon directly. I have the app on my phone too and when itās their in house driver delivering it tells me how many stops away from my house they are with my stuff. Itās also pretty cool.

I received two separate deliveries (From the same Amazon order!) yesterday. One was delivered by FedEx and I didn't see who delivered the other. I received a picture for one, but not the other. Darn! I can't recall which one shared the picture. The one delivery person threw the package onto the porch (six steps up). Thank goodness what was enclosed wasn't fragile!!

I get photos from Intelcom, have for a while. So far, I havenāt seen any photos from any other carrier here in Alberta. Fedex delivered this week, no photo. Canada Post early July, no photo.

My son got one where his item was in front of a neighbor's door. After work, he found the door and knocked and showed them the picture. They gave him his package.

Iām beyond peeved at Amazon delivery right now. They delivered 2 pairs of sandals 2 days ago. Left in a āsecure locationā but with no photo and they are no where to be found.
I live in a secure condo. The intercom (right next to the door) rings to my phone so I can buzz the driver in. It never rang. Plus there is a sign in the lobby that all packages are to be delivered to the residentsā doors, not left in the lobby. Iām assuming the driver left the package outside somewhere and it was lifted.
Because of this, I have very specific instructions on my account with Amazon on how to access the building. Amazon employed drivers are the ONLY people who cannot seem to figure it out. Repeatedly. UPS, USPS, FedEx and everyone else is bright enough to figure it out.
Iām hoping theyāre able to resend the items quickly.

We had a new oven delivered late last week and the driver took a photo and I had to sign that I had received it!
I have had to sign for ages but never a photo. This was not through Amazon but a local delivery service, in Adelaide, Australia.
