Spellbinders has a surprise bundle for sale. Spellbinders Summer Surprise Bundle
For $40, you get six die sets, two embossing folders, and three stamp & die sets. This bundle is valued over $150. I like Spellbinders and I get the small die of the month. I bought a few clearance dies recently though so I’m afraid I’ll either get duplicates or get something totally not my style. Has as anyone ever gotten this one before?

I would be hesitant to buy any surprise bundle, even though I often like Spellbinder dies. It’s not a bargain if they turn out to be dies you don’t like and won’t use.
I have gone through the store to see their older dies, past subscription offerings, etc. I bought the ones I really wanted. If it were really a great deal and something a lot of customers would want, they’d show you what was in it, and it would sell fast. I could be wrong, but the risk is that it’s a surprise package of duds that didn’t sell, so they are trying to unload it this way.

I agree with scrapnnana. Spellbinders has a lot of nice dies but they also have stuff I really don’t like. I’d rather not take the chance.

If you look at youtube, you can see Spellbinders Summer Surprise Box from 2018. If it's anything like last years box, then I would say it's not worth it. A couple of the good things (values $17-24) that were in 2018 box were only $3 each at their last online sale.

They even have a clearance section, or did when I last checked their site for deals. You know exactly what you are buying that way, and you may spend less in the long run than if you were to buy a surprise box that has one or two good things an a lot that is disappointing.
