I need to have what I need packed and into my vehicle by bedtime today. Leaving at crack of insanity tomorrow. Have a few other places to be before the crop starts, but I won't be home in between. *Will be driving through two cities with LSS's if I need to buy something, and justjac is picking up a package--a paper collection and some glue cartridges--from our own LSS on HER way to the crop. But since I have a room FULL of stuff to scrap with right here in this room, I would like to take most of what I need from here. TIME: the crop runs mid day Friday to mid afternoon Sunday. There will be classes and activities during that time. VENUE & SPACE: it will be held in a Calgary hotel. Not sure exactly how much space we will get, but there are just 20 of us, so I am imagining a full table. It is secure, so I don't have to pack and unpack all weekend: just settle in Friday and pack up Sunday. THEME: My themes: camping and road trip The crop doesn't have a theme, although their logo has wild horses on it! I so want to print that logo and then minc it! My project for the weekend will be to work on an album for my dgs (aged 6) about their cross country road trip from Ontario to Alberta. Their adventure began with 2 1/2 weeks of camping after their house sold, then a 6 day drive across the country visiting quirky--and serious--points of interest, then a weekend at our farm. Meanwhile we have moving van loading and unloading pic's. He has separation anxiety, and I am hoping that this album will help him relive the fun he had with friends at the lake and the adventures he had along the road. So far, I have my camping and summer paper collections in my rolly tote. Have a shoulder bag with cutting mat, small tool case, trimmer, & glue glider pro, and am starting to put together the rest. Okay, what else would YOU pack? One Two Three.... GO!

Tablet or laptop Snacks Pictures Papers that coordinate with the project Embellishments that coordinate with the project Cardstock - cardstock - cardstock Layout sketches Paper trimmer Centering ruler Pens - pencils Adhesive - wet and dry Punches - circle and square Nuvo drops Chalks Inks Paper piercer Long tweezers Scissors Pad of sticky notes Extension cord Light Personal size fan
I have a rolling tote that I keep packed with a set of basic tools and supplies. I never unpack it - just add to the supplies. When I prep for a crop I put all my project specific things in an Iris case and I'm good to go.

I’m packing a few all purpose embellishments and since I am doing our vacation I can share. I will have some sequins in 8 colours, Nuvos in gold glitter, pearl, and blue, Heidi Swapp’s new Wolfpack washi, a few travel stamps sets and an alpha stamp set. For inks I’m thinking a tin of Archival minis and maybe a few Versafine Clairs. I pulled a few wood veneer and metal bits. A few doilies and flowers. Thickers. I threw in a roll of foam tape and some Scor tape and liquid glue. I bought a Canada die and stamp from Studio Calico that might be good for your cross Canada theme.
Do you think we’ll need a heat gun? I hadn’t planned to bring anything wet or my embossing powders.
I’ll probably end up throwing in random other things. I can’t seem to help myself.

Thanks, Ladies. The photos I will be using are on my phone and a few on my camera card. Will print en route. I will throw in my heat gun in case we need it for technique classes, justjac. Have my CTMH Canada stamp set and my new Hero Arts stamps & dies (life is better at the lake). I went through my travel bin and selected papers and stickers I think will work. Think I will grab some brads and wood veneer. Trying to decide about cardstock. I prefer to purchase cs at the venue so I am not carrying along a bunch of un needed weight.

I haven't seen anyone mention a cushion for your chair. Those hotel meeting room chairs can be uncomfortable after a while (despite my own personal padding)!

Although “wet and dry” adhesives were mentioned, I recommend a variety of widths of Scor-Tape (or the equivalent), pop dots or foam, Zig glue and a more heavy duty wet glue with a fine tip, and a pin to clean out said tip as needed.
Some bling would be nice, and a variety of basic stamps, with stamp blocks or stamp platform, and an ink pad.
Perhaps some basic thin dies and a Cuttlebug or Big Shot.

Thanks, everyone! That chair looks really tempting, gramma . I could see that baby going to hockey and baseball games as well. I have my crop bags in the vehicle. Added some stamps and dies, some score tape, wax paper (which I use instead of a splash mat), some paper towels and wet ones. The LSS lady is tucking in a couple of the new Nuvo stone colours and some pop dots with the bag @justjack has agreed to pick up for me. i need to take down an empty 3 ring album and some page protectors to store my finished pages in. Not leaving home until 6:00AM, so there may be a few more “Oh yeah”’s yet as I realize I might NEED something. Gotta remember I am not going alone to the middle of a desert island. If I forget something it won’t be a crisis...

Thinking about the "things forgotten" -- personal trimmer, photos, adhesive -- sticker letters ?

If you're going to be stamping or snacking, how about some baby wipes?

An Ott Light and an extension cord. I went to a crop without mine once and I hated it.

I think I need a bigger car. My kids both played hockey and then went to another sport after that (hockey was year round). A car was just not enough storage and I learned to appreciate the convenience of an SUV. Now all the scrappy stuff goes in the back. Any vehicle that can hold a Raskog upright for travel is perfect in my book.
