I don't wear much makeup, but I like a light coat of mascara. I used Cover Girl Exact Eyelights waterproof for several years and loved it. Now it has been discontinued. I am looking for a lighter coverage waterproof mascara. I hate thick clumpy mascara. It seems that everything out there now is so clumpy and thick and it's all about volume. I don't want a caterpillar on my eyelid. I just want my natural lashes darkened up a bit. Waterproof is important. I'm sweatin' like a beast most days and I hate the raccoon eyes. Any recommendations for something light (not in color, but in coverage). Also - I live in BFE.... I never go to Sephora or any place like that. I'm a Walmart girl. LOL I am not opposed to ordering some, but if I am going to shell out a lot of $$ .. I want to be kind of sure it is what I want.  |

Cover Girl Clump Crusher in Waterproof.
It's all I will ever use. I have tried them all: cheap drugstore to MAC. I always go back to this one! My mascara preferences are the same as yours! I will say it's harder to find the Waterproof at CVS/Walgreens. I've had good luck at Target.

I've had good luck at Target. I'll look for it online. Target's 2 hours away. LOL ... Like I said, I live in BFE.. Walmart is 30 minutes.. and that is about it! |

Maybelline Full'n'Soft in waterproof is my new fave. No flaking or clumps, no spider lashes. Also it removes easily with my regular cleanser - no need for separate eye makeup remover.

I love L’Oréal voluminous mascara. It doesn’t clump for me and stays put. Best I found trying high end and cheap stuff.

I swear by applying 2 different things. First I apply a light coat of L'Oreal Voluminous base primer. It's under $7. Then I apply Essence Lash Princess (the one with the green is waterproof). It's less than $5 for a bottle. Don't panic at the first couple of applications of Lash Princess being a bit clumpy. After a couple times, you will notice the formula thins out a bit and it's just perfect.

I use Blinc mascara. It’s a tube mascara and stays put, but comes off with water. You can even cry and it stays out. Just don’t rub your eyes and you are fine. I buy it from Amazon but I think Sephora carries not (not that you probably have one!)

I like Rimmel retro eyes. I have used it for a couple of years.
It is super cheap and I feel like it has really helped my eyelashes grow better.

I put Covergirl Lash Blast (orange tube) on top of it though to add some volume. I love that the Loreal comes off with just water but yet when I'm wearing it acts like a waterproof mascara. I've cried my eyes out and it won't smear. The worst that happens is a few pieces come off onto my face, but that's with some serious tears! |

Uncertain whether all are available in waterproof formulas, but can verify all offer a brown color option (if desired), my drugstore favorites (that replaced L'Oreal Double Extend after the formula was changed a couple years ago) are:

Cover Girl Clump Crusher
Neutrogena Hydro Boost

I'm another Loreal Double Extend. I believe I got the recommendation here a few years ago. Only mascara I have worn that doesn't run.
My daughter and I had our makeup done by a makeup artist for a photoshoot a few months ago. She had mostly MAC makeup, but said drugstore mascara is better.
