Tim Holtz posted on Instagram that Tonic is coming out with a left handed version of the glass media mat. They’re also making his scissors for lefties. I’ve learned some workarounds for the mat so I won’t be buying a new one at this point. Although I write left handed I do almost everything else right handed so I won’t need the scissors but I think it’s a cool move.

Interesting. I’m like you, though— write left-handed, use scissors right-handed. Lots of lefties will be happy about the scissors. They’re great.

I'm not left handed but I think it's an awesome idea! I just wonder why no one thought to do it years ago!

I only write left but the mat could be of interest to me. I'm just so used to adapting that really I don't notice.
I don't think I could use left handed scissors if I tried.
Wait I wear my watch on my right wrist so there is something else I do lefty wise.
Oh and using a side cutting can opener I always had issues with those.

I probably couldn’t cut straight with left handed scissors. I already have the glass mat but I might consider that. I would love the white pad on the other side.

I'm not a leftie but all I can think is, better late than never! I'm sorry you guys get forgotten about.

I would sooo order the mat. I cut right handed too but I wonder if I'd cut better with practice with lefty scissors. I hate measuring cups too!

Using liquid measuring cups and 3 ring binders are the only times I feel left handed. I think we just learn to adapt.
Does anyone have a link to the glass media mat?

The scissors are in stock at scrapbook.com. I've gotten so used to adapting and I love my cutterbees for fussy cutting but I'm seriously considering these. I use left handed dressmaking scissors and they were game changing for me, and I know there's plenty of times I've had my hands and/or head in weird positions trying to see around the blades while fussy cutting, or just blindly guessing where the edge of the image is. I like to think I've gotten pretty good at it but I'm certainly not against a little extra help. I love that someone is finally offering an option and I hope they do well for him.

I wonder if there will be a left handed version of the tool kit with the ruler.

Measuring cups, blow dryers, can openers and one of my peeves is rulers! I ,like a lot of you lefties have learned to cut with my right, and that's about all I can do with that hand. So happy to be thought of.

Ladles with spouts are my biggest lefty pet peeve. I've had my share of awkward salad bar moments with those.
Yay to Tim!

I use right handed scissors upsidedown in my left hand. I don't know how I would adjust to actual lefty scissors. In the past the school ones frustrated me.
