I need to buy some new workout clothes. I saw a site online called Fabletics and it had a great deal for a first time customer. I hate ordering online due to sizing and if I haven't worn their brand before it is hard to know sizing even with measurements given online. I don't want to spend $$$ but need somethings so I don't have one more excuse to go to the gym. Has anyone purchased from Fabletics before or do you find much luck with Targets items? I hate WM, don't want something $$$ like Lulu or whatever it is called. We have a Athleta here now which I love but I don't know if their pants would fit me great. I am probably a XL for sure on the bottom but anyway their items are $$$ too. I will maybe buy better quality on down the road when I see I stick with it. TIA

I have had good luck at Target. They make a short sleeved v neck shirt that I have in a variety of colors. Love their sports bras and capris, too. They do have a "performance" line that imitates lulu - I haven't been as successful with that, I think they cut it smaller and it's supposed to fit tightly.
I'm picky about shorts and will spend lulu or athleta money for shorts if they fit well. I also like Lucy brand things, they can be harder to find though - not as many stores. I do sometimes get lucky with their stuff on sale at REI. Several years ago, Nike made shorts that had a tighter "bike short underneath and then a different color/set of shorts on top. I loved those but haven't had much luck with Nike shorts since then.

Marshalls is my favorite place for athletic wear.

I like Marshall's a lot, too. They have a real range of products.
I've gotten a few things from Target over the years and have been happy with it, also I like JCPenney for athletic wear. They have a couple of different lines, one seems a little less performance-oriented, but it looks like a good size range and I've been happy with the quality of everything I've bought from there. I got a really great high-impact sports bra from there, too (though it's an over-the-head that cannot be put on or taken off in a hurry).

I've had great luck with Old Navy, too. I have a bunch of long and capris workout pants with pockets that are the best. They also have plus sizing available, too. You can order online and return to the store.

I also have good luck with Target. Cartwheel often has good deals on C9 gear, I usually get it for 40% off or more.

Perfect! Thank you! I did get 2 shirts from Old Navy that are from their workout line but I wore as comfy summer shirts with a tank under them. I will check them out for more items and also T and Marshalls. Thanks! I must do and get back to the gym. I say get back like it was once a standard. I have never done great with it. Sigh. Thats OK. I can start over.

Have fun shopping! I agree that the Champion line at Target is actually pretty good. My stuff is holding up nicely from there.

I have great luck with Old Navy. I find they last just as long as my pricier items.

We sometimes order things through the Running Warehouse. Their shipping is free and they have quite a lot of clearance clothes and shoes. But, having said that I think my current running shorts are from Old Navy. I would say I go cheap on the work-out clothes except for good quality bras and shoes. I think they are the most important of what I wear so I spend the most on them.

Old Navy and Target. But I think Old Navy's sizes run a little smaller than they should.

Old Navy and Target for less pricey workout wear. Athleta for clothes that you can also wear for casual wear and running errands, in addition to working out.

If you want capri's, check out Costco. Costco ActivewearScroll down and check out the capri's with the different color waist bands. I love mine! One thing that is nice is that in the waist band, there is a place for you to put a house key or an id or something small like that. This comes in very handy when I go out for a power walk. They are only $6.97 a pair right now. I might have to order a couple more since they are so cheap. I guess they are trying to get rid of them for the season. ***ETA The tops to match the capri's are only $4.97. Again, they must be trying to get rid of them. I haven't bought any of these so I can't speak from first hand experience but at that price, I don't think you can go wrong. They also have free shipping..................Now, I am off to place an order. ***Edit one more time........looks like they only have plus sizes left in the tops so that probably won't work for you. And in the bottoms, there are only smalls and some plus sizes. Oh well, I was going to get a few more but can't this time around.

I used to have good luck at Target. More recently, I've switched to Sports Authority. They have a nice rewards (cash back) program, also.

Athleta just had their Friends and Family sale. I love the quality and you I was in the store while a woman was returning a bag full of things that she wore but no longer worked for her. I didn't want to be nosy but she was rocking an expensive handbag and was rather fit. Maybe she returned and walked a couple stores down to Lululemon

I buy all of my workout gear at Kohl's. Awesome stuff, and I can always get it on sale and use a coupon. Same here. I love the Fila stuff as far as pants go. Shirts, tanks, bras and jackets I get all over, but I'm picky about bottoms. I also like using the coupons/Kohls cash for my Nikes.

Interesting you mention Fabletics. I just ordered from them. The first order, is of course, the cheapest and it's a monthly subscription (it's in the fine print). That didn't bother me, because you can choose to pass up a month, as long as you notify them by the 5th. I have a reminder in my planner so said to pass for October. If you don't pass and don't order, they charge you $50 or so, which can then be applied to a future order. The outfit I ordered was a sports bra, tank and yoga pants. The sports bra is ok, but has a wierd strap that goes behind your neck. Shame on me for thinking it wouldn't be a big deal. It's annoying, but not so much that I will return it. The pants, I ordered in hot pink (what was I thinking) and I should have stuck with black, but the size was fine so no issues there. Well actually, they are a bit tight and I'm keeping them, but I really prefer the jockey yoga pants for $20. I like to work out in cotton, not polyester or whatever that mix of fabric is. The tank top....it was way to big (a medium) and kind of hung on me so I exchanged for a small (I never wear small, I am a medium, sometimes large). Tried it on yesterday and it's still got an odd fit. I don't want an XS, I would just like something else. I can't just return it, I have to call (because this is already an exchange maybe?) so....we'll see how that goes. There are a lot of terrible reviews about them so I hope that isn't my experience but we'll see. If they give me any slack, I'll just cancel. I keep all my print screens, conversation notes, etc...so if I get any trouble, I'll just send it to Amex and let them handle it. So....long story short. The jury is still out on them and I'm not sure I would recommend. I like to get the sports bras at Target, the C9 brand.
P.S. I also like to get workout stuff @ Kohls. The coupons make it pretty affordable.
Update 101314 - called to exchange and had no problem other than a 6 minute wait time. Return label was emailed immediately and she said once they see that is in transit, they'll mail out the the item I requested instead. So far so good.

Almost exclusively at Athleta. At least go in and figure out your size so you can wait for sales.
I returned something there after I had been wearing it for a year. An inner seam came undone and couldn't be repaired. No questions asked and my garment was replaced. With that one exception, the quality and fit of everything have been great.

Nordstrom Rack has a lot of workout clothing. The online sales at Athleta are fantastic. REI has nice workout gear as well.

I will second the recommendation for kohl's -- love their Fila selection and prices:) Yep, I love Fila as well.... I have several pair of the capri's. They hold up very well, especially if you don't dry them. I am not fond of their shirts...I find they run small. I prefer Target C9 for shirts or J.C. Penny Xersion.

I love Athleta too! They have opened one in Dallas and another one is coming soon to the North Texas area. I also like Title 9 as a second choice.
