Hey everyone! I'll be taking dd#2 to do her learner's driving test this morning ... this will be her third attempt ... I hope she passes this time Then we will be going school supply shopping ... I need to get a few more things there for my classroom as well ... next will be a trip to Michaels for some craft supplies I need to teach my Fashion Studies class ... unfortunately, there is no budget for my class so I'm stuck buying a bunch of supplies ... luckily, we are just doing friendship bracelets to start so that shouldn't cost too much I'm seeing the new Cirque du Soleil show, Luzia, with my bff tonight ... we go to all the Cirque shows and sit in great seats so it should be fun ... I need some fun in my life right now We all know how I feel about my job right now ... this is what I posted on Facebook today I'm seriously not sure what dinner will be tonight ... I have to go to the grocery store today so I'll decide when I'm there ... we will probably grill something What are your plans today? What is on your menu tonight?

It is another lovely day here in Ulm. This morning I took advantage of free bus Saturday and took a trip out to Wiblingen, where there is an old monastery that has a beautiful Basilica and the most stunning Rococo library. When I got back to town, I wandered around the market for a bit before going back to the Weinfest for lunch. After that, I came back to my hotel for a rest, then went back out to wander and get a coffee mid afternoon. For dinner tonight, I am eating at the hotel restaurant. They gave me a coupon for €4 off, and they are not open tomorrow evening for dinner, so it has to be today. Their menu seems to be local specialties, and looks pretty good.

We took out a small boneless pork roast and dh will slice it into chops which I’ll brine and grill. We have lots of carrots, broccoli and fresh tomatoes to have and I’m sure dh will cook rice or make instant potatoes.

um. Dunno? If I leave the house, I’ll pick up something. Otherwise, maybe the chili rice I didn’t make yesterday. Or there’s Costco chicken. Lots of veggies, too.
Tomorrow I’ll be gone all day, so I may not post. I’ll probably have a big lunch and just nibble for dinner.

Headed to my brother’s about an hour away to celebrate my mom‘s 82nd birthday. We are having the best chicken wings and pizza from a shop/restaurant south of Buffalo and I can’t wait. And there will be cake!!!
We are kind of hoping that he is surprising us with my nephew who has been in Germany for 18 months training with NATO As a first lieutenant in the army. At least I think that’s his rank. He’s headed home supposedly the first part of September and is going to go to work for a government contracting firm in Washington DC. Then next July he will be working for the Secret Service or ICE. YIKES

DH requested steak kabobs. I make a side salad too. I'll be enjoying a couple nectarines, crackers and cheese. Looking forward to a rainy evening at home.

Great meme leannec. We are having sausages and corn on the cob for dinner. I'm just heading into the kitchen for some baking. I'm trying to make bagels today. And there will be more unicorn cookies.

Grilled chicken, leftover delicious rice from a Chinese restaurant, yellow squash, and green salad with fresh tomatoes.
Thanks for the thread. The meme is perfect for teachers, especially at the beginning of a school year. God, I hate it when teachers have to spend their own money for class supplies. It's unconscionable.

I'm heading into the kitchen to tackle Coconut Curry Chicken. I say tackle as I've never made it before. That's OK because I've never eaten it before but we're all about dining adventures. We found some of our favorite recipes that way and haven't starved yet. There will be rice and naan bread to accompany it. Wishing all a delightful weekend!

DD wanted to go out for dinner to use some of our restaurant vouchers. Normally we would go to our favourite restaurant Red Spice Road, but it was their farewell party (they are moving premises) and it cost $150 per head - no way was I spending $600 on dinner!! So instead we went to their sister restaurant, Burma Lane. We had to tone down our ordering because we had DS with us, who is a bit fussy. The food was amazing, as always. Duck, shiitake & water chestnut doughnut, chilli cinnamon sugar, sour cherry Gochujang & honey roasted salmon taco, wombok, tomato, avocado, jalapeno
Smoked chicken wings, sesame, green onion Salt & pepper squid, pickled cucumber, Vietnamese mint, beach banana Soy braised beef short rib, pickled cucumber, chilli jam, coconut, bao Five spice pork belly, black pepper caramel, papaya, chilli, herbs Melondramatic Mocktail - watermelon, lime, mint, lychee

I found African inspired spice rubs at Walmart... in no where Montana? So burber spice rubbed chicken breast cooked on the grill , Greek style potatoes, pita, homemade hummus, cucumber salad. Mangos.

We had dd’s friend since 1st grade’s wedding last night. They had perfect weather and she was such a beautiful bride. Her new husband is a gem. The food was steak or salmon. Both good.
Today I went to my dad’s. We had soups from a favorite restaurant on the way. I bought clothespin cookies from my favorite bakery there. Then I went to the Italian specialty store and bought pepperoni rolls, meatballs Mac & cheese & green beans. My dad ate really well. His hand tremors were so bad though So I had to feed him.
He’s been sliding out of his leather recliner so I took him shopping for a new fabric one. Then dh & I did yard work & chores for him.
