What if you are afraid of the commitment? Like you follow a challenge and just post your creation to the main thread (Is there a main thread?) You wouldn't want me on your team. I might end up being a slacker. My schedule is very unpredictable, but school has started.

There's room for slackers. I know several of us have joined teams at various points and then done nothing all month so don't let that stop you from joining in. But if you prefer to just post what you create to the main thread, whether you've used any of the challenges for that month or not, that's fine too.

So happy to see any creations whether peas are team members or not - I hope every pea considers sharing their work in the gallery/boards! The challenge teams really aren't about winning/losing: there is NO pressure. I myself only did 3 or 4 layouts last month, and this month isn't gonna be any better... (but I'm hoping Sketchtember will turn me around!) We also have challenges for posting pictures, for other crafts, for organizing, and sometimes even for shopping

If you need help figuring out how everything works, just ask. Come on... come play with us... Most months, there is only one place to share your work for team play. You can go there, share your creation, comment on what others have done. Usually there are a few “regular” challenges, and then all the team challenges are in one big thread. This next month there will be a new sketch challenge posted every day in a separate thread, and you can share your take on it there whether you are a team member or not. It’s all for fun. No pressure unless you put it on yourself.

I might end up being a slacker. My schedule is very unpredictable, but school has started. I was a bit worried about that at first too! I only joined 2 months ago, but it really is low key. There are people on the teams who share lots of things and other people who share nothing at all during the month but maybe pop up at the end to share how many points they earned (which may be a little or may be a lot - no one notices either way). The good thing is that you don't have to even look at the challenges before you start creating if you don't want to. I make what I'm going to make anyway and then check the challenge list afterwards to see how many points I earned. Some of the challenges are "make a square page or use something square" and then another one will be "use a rectangle or rectangular page" so one way or another if you make something you'll earn some points. If you're stuck you can look at the challenges and decided to do something specific, for example: hexagons, photo you took today, and using the color blue - that's a nice jumping off point. But if you end up with a red layout with stars and an old photo, no worries. Check the list again and you might find you still earned points for all of those things (there are a LOT of challenges lately!) You don't have to share what you made - you can still get points for it even if you don't show it off. But sharing is fun and it's a nice way to pat yourself on the back for getting something done. Or like the others said you can use the challenges for inspiration and not bother with the teams/points. It does a take a little time to share and to calculate the points for each project but it's not so bad if you keep up with it, if you don't make much, or if you use the spreadsheet one of the Peas makes <3 But no one is judging anyone else for how many points they contribute. It's all just for fun like grammadee said.

are there going to be instructions of where to post our creations and where challenges to get points are? i am new to this Yes. Every month we start another thread summarizing the rules and listing the team members. There will be a separate thread for all team members to post their challenges until the 3rd of the month. And a third thread for sharing and commenting. If you need help figuring any of it out, just ask! All of this happens on the Challenges sub board. You can check out the August rules and the August sharing there now.

Everyone is really nice and there really is no pressure.

See, here it is two days later and I'm now responding. I just signed up. I switch between pocket and regular scrapbooking. I'm doing more of the pocket scrapping right now because that's the photos I have printed.
I'll probably be mostly sharing journal cards I've made or embellished.
