Lego Wooden blocks Books 45 records and storybooks Little People Certain games (my nephew and I play a lot of my old games- Bonkers, The Gambler, Why, Life) A lot of games have been ruined by the updates, Life is almost unrecognizable now. And my God, the current Candyland Game is practically seizure inducing it is so gaudy. Easy Bake Oven
I have a problem, but I have various kids in my life to play with these things and I enjoy them as much as they do. Some toys and books I get to take into school too, so I use that as an excuse.

I have about 20 Star Wars Lego sets packed away in the attic for my 25-year-old DS. They are put together and each one was carefully packed into totes with the instruction book. That Millennium Falcon is big and fragile!
He says he will have a Lego room when he buys a house and we still buy him a set every Christmas.

So far I have kept/plan on keeping hot wheels cars, LEGO’s, Lincoln logs (we have a set that my grandpa saved and gave to me), a few books, and imaginext toys. I’m contemplating cutting down on the amount of imaginext that I am keeping since they take up a lot of space.
My mom kept a lot of our toys. My brothers loved transformers and GI joe, but by the time there were grandkids the rubber bands in a lot of them broke easily. She also kept a table hockey set that the kids still play with. My barbies and the house that my dad made are at my mom’s since I didn’t have any girls. One time one of my kids wanted to bring Ken home and his head was broken off within a few days. I don’t know what condition the rest of the Barbies are in but I will evaluate whether or not to keep them in a few years. I also have my cabbage patch kids from when I was a kid.

Wood stuff--Lincoln logs, wood train tracks, and a Little Tikes Barbie house and furniture. But I've already started buying toys for my future grandchildren that aren't even sparkles in anyone's eyes (except mine) yet.

One hundred gazillion LEGO, and anything Star Wars. I saved a heavy green metal Tonka tractor, because I've decorated with it. I also kept a few of the board books DS and/or I loved the most.

I'm saving this... link crazy price now (Canadian 780) and 2-3 years ago it was being sold on US Amazon for over $300.

Legos Calico Critters Games & Books
I think that's it for us. I used to think I'd keep the AG stuff but don't think I care any more.

We have a lot of the Cars cars. I will be keeping almost all of them because they were his absolute favorite toys up until about 2 years ago. I cannot wait to get rid of most of the hot wheels and other such car toys. (We have so many they drive me bonkers).
Legos.
Some Duplos and wooden blocks
Little people!

My older daughter was the only girl on two blocks full of boys, so part of her toys that I saved were a carrycase of Hot Wheels and one travelcase of Ninja Turtle Action figures, with the accessories, plus some pogs.

Playmobil Duplo (although we donated a ton of the basic bricks) Wooden trains Fisher Price (vintage Little People - some was mine as a kid and my kids all played with it, some I picked up for them - but it's all 60s-80s) 2 baby dolls that were mine (and all 3 of my kids played with) along with some clothes/bedding my mum made me for them and some I made)
I think that's it - DS moved out with his childhood Lego, DD19 didn't care for Lego and gave hers to DD12, DD12 will probably take hers when she's ready to move out (DH has his own Lego collection)
Oh we do have a box of Lego Primo also

DS has all his old Legos at his house. Neither of his children had any interest in them.
I have their Cabbage Patch dolls, my old ratty teddy bear, and a 3 piece Little Tykes kitchen set. I'd like to get rid of the kitchen set, but the grands don't want me to. They are 16 and 11, LOL!

Legos and hot wheels. If my oldest had his way, nerf guns would be included. However, the dart design keeps changing so there is no way to ensure the older guns could fire the new darts. Pretty much all other toys have been tossed or donated.

I don't think I have any of my daughters' toys left.
However I DO have two of my own first teddy bears (one's head fell off in the move; have to figure out how to fix it). And my Sasha doll that I got when I was 4 or 5. She's actually a collectible, quite rare, but much loved and played with.
I think we got rid of the last of the kids' toys prior to the move as we knew we'd be downsizing.

My dd had AG Mia 08 and Mckenna 12 and all their little accessories. I kept them after she stopped playing with them because I just spent way to much money on them.
FF to my cousin having a little girl after my extended family had boys and she is just the girly of little girls. Her mom and dad are still paying tons of student loans so every penny counts. So I cleaned them up and sent them off to be repaired and gifted them from my family and my mom for her birthday. I okayed it with her mom before.
Those were the only toys that I held onto. I never really thought about keeping any. And I don't want to look on ebay to see how much they are selling for now.

I only have my AG doll and some accessories, baby doll, and a couple favorite stuffed animals. My mom saved all of the fake food but recently tossed it because the plastic went off.
My mom also saved my brothers wooden Thomas set and he gave it to my boys to play with. When he has kids, I’m going to pass it back. The trains get worn but that wooden track looks amazing. (My boys have their own Thomas stuff too and we will be keeping that).
So far, I want to keep the stainless steel mini pots and pans, Thomas, and wooden blocks as my future “grandma’s house toys” lol. I just know that they will last. Everything else will be up to the kids- I suspect they will want to take their LEGOs with them!

I would love to get rid of every toy in the basement. Depending on the person they want to sell it, throw it away, or keep it forever. So they sit in boxes in one area that I choose to ignore. I make sure I can get to the things I want.
There's quite a variety of toys down there. I did sell most of our Little People stuff. We had way too much.

Poochie. My dd’s stuffed puppy that dh gave her for her very first Valentine’s Day when she was 7 months old. She is 14 now and while she no longer takes him with her for sleepovers at friends’ houses, she still sleeps with him at home every night. I’ve told her many times that when she doesn’t want him anymore, I do, though I suspect he may very well go off to college with her. At this point, he’s pretty much part of the family and he’ll be sticking around for the long haul.
