Princess Diana died 1997. My son was born 1998. He is 21 tomorrow, and I'm reeling. Proud, grateful, astounded, gobsmacked.
This layout I created a few weeks back, not realizing it would be his birthday when I posted it. I love this photo (even tho his beard was HUGE at the time) and it disappointed me to hear him say he DIDN'T like how he looks in it! Thought his smile was goofy. But it's a real genuine "look ma I have a snake!" boy smile, so I love it!

It's amazing how different my layout looks from the sketch, when I really used almost every element on the sketch, but varied them to fit my photo/embellies! Can't wait to see what people create with this!

Cute sketch! I think I will probably do what you did, and make the photo larger. BTW, I love the photo of your son! And I love the title and sub title - now I'm going to be singing that all day.
My daughter was born in November 1997, and I have very clear memories of ringing my BFF (who was also pregnant) when Princess Di died, and talking for ages about it.

kitbop - thank you for the sketch - I love your layout - Happy Birthday to your handsome son! I'm not happy with the flowers in the top right corner but I always struggle with clusters.
