Twice! Once just because I had a headlight out. I didn’t notice because I was only driving in a town with bright street lights. It was a friendly “just so you know” sorta thing.
The second time was my fault. I turned right on a no turn on red at an obnoxiously long light at 3AM. No soul on the road other than the bored police man who was purposely patrolling that intersection for people like me. Lol!!! I just got a warning.

Yup, 2 times since I moved down here. I never got pulled over, never got a ticket in my life until 3 years ago. I was driving home from Nannying, rush hour, and everyone on this road here speeds. You're practically pushed out tapped from behind if you're not keeping up. I was doing the speed limit and noticed a car closely following me. I switched lanes and they were still behind me. It was an unmarked cop car and he flashed his lights and pulled me over into a vacant parking lot. Seriously, I felt threatened. I gave him my license, etc., and asked why he pulled me over. He claimed I was speeding. I wasn't, but I was growing frightened of him following me. He wasn't too nice about it all. Turns out he didn't show up in court for the hearing and it was dismissed. A few months ago another unmarked cop car appeared out of nowhere on a desolate side road to claim that I was doing 45 in a 30. This road has curves and it's always full of kittens and animals, so I purposely watch my speed and I'm very careful. There was no way I was speeding!! I went to court for the ticket, and the more I spoke, the harsher the Judge was. I love how they always ask, "Where are you from" because of my accent. The judge said, "You're claiming that you weren't speeding but the deputy says his radar says different. I have to go with his word." OMG, I was so very pissed but I learned here to keep quiet and you'll be better off. Ugh!! Weird thing is that I was telling that story to jenjie at my house before she headed on the road here. I'm sure that her sweet demeanor helped + it sounds like she got a nice cop!

Once for speeding down a hill in my Beetle (it was the only way I was getting UP the next one! 😂). He stepped back, looked at the car from one end to the other, and said “I’ll buy that” 😂😂😂 warning.
Twice for speeding that I got ticketed for, and I totally should have been. To be fair, one i genuinely thought the speed limit was 35, hadn’t seen a sign yet.

Oh sure.. I mean I have been driving since 1984.. so never ever being pulled over is pretty slim... it hasn't been much though.. Nothing that even shows on my record now. I have had extensive background checks. Last guy that mentioned it said I was pretty boring.. lol
I think maybe I have been pulled over a total of five or six times.
The first time was I was driving my new convertible and my DAD switched my plates from my old car to my new one. I was mortified when the cops told me that was illegal. What the heck was my dad thinking. Fortunately no ticket or anything, just explained to me you can't do that. lol
A few times for speeding.. generally only a couple of tickets maybe out of the five times.. never anything huge and they typically mark it down for less points.
Other than that, knock on wood.. nothing in years. And I am not saying I am always driving the speed limit.. I have a lead foot sometimes.
Edited to add... I think I am upping my number to about 10 after reading a few stories... but actually getting a ticket is still about the same.

I once got "pulled over" while walking. Got a ticket for "misuse of pedestrian cross" because I went when it said "No Walk" because the car motioned for me to go.
One time I got pulled over really amused me. I absolutely won't drink or drive and we had gone to a party. The police obviously saw what was going on with all of the cars parked, so were watching the area. We were parked across the street at a shopping plaza and because it was well lit, I at first didn't notice that my headlights weren't on and was pulling out of the lot when I realized it, and then turned them on. Not soon enough, because I immediately got pulled over. (Kind of bogus since I wasn't officially on the road when it happened, but whatever). The officer sort of leaned in, asked me about the lights, which he saw were now on and walked away disappointed because he'd pulled over probably the one and only person not drinking at that party.

OMG yes I have and did it entirely wrong and I am waaaay old enough to know better.
One evening coming home I was stopped at a traffic light. The light turns green and I hear "whoop whoop" behind me. I pull over and look in my rear view mirror and cannot see any lights on top of the car, so what do I do...the wrong thing! I jump out of the car and try and look and see if there is anything on the side of the car identifying it as a police car.
Boy oh boy did that poor cop scramble out of his car thinking what is this crazy lady doing. It was a K9 unit to boot and the dog was going nuts!!! I asked what I did and he said I ran a red light...and I responded, no I didn't. He asked where I lived which was a mile away and just told me to go home!!!

A few times, usually for a minor infraction like speeding or not coming to full stop at a stop sign. I've always admitted it, apologized to the officer and paid my fine.
I've also been pulled over for being in the "wrong" neighborhood. I had stopped by to see if a friend wanted to join me for a movie, she wasn't home, and as I was leaving her place a cop pulled me over and gave me a really hard time. She was the only white girl who lived on her street, and the police officer gave me the 3rd degree about what I was doing there, where I was going, what my friend's name was - he even gave me shit about not being sure about her last name (she was in the process of a divorce and we hadn't discussed whether she was going back to her maiden name or keeping her husband's last name - I ended up giving him both last names). I think I was 19 at the time.

Pulled over once, he let me off with a warning (Expired registration) in PA.
Not pulled over, but got a parking ticket THE NEXT DAY after our inspection was expired. After telling DH to make the appt in the middle of that month...the meter maids work quick...

Once. I got a ticket for failing to stop at a stop sign. The stop sign was inside a parking lot, and it was not to turn out into the street. Just a stop in the middle of the parking lot! The ticket said I was going 1MPH! I had a stick shift at the time. I would take my car out of gear at the stop sign and I guess I wasn’t fully pressing on the brake so my car was still rolling a bit. Yeah, I was bit mad at that one!
But, knock on wood, the only moving violation so far!

Several times. Always speeding. Have gone to court twice to fight the tickets; once paid. And have been let go with a warning a few times. Oh, got pulled over for rolling through a stop sign once too.
Yeah, this isn't exactly a flattering portrait of me, I can see that....

In 39 years of driving, I have been pulled over 6 times:
#1 - Highschooler. I was running late for school and turned left on a red Got a warning.
#2 - Highschooler (again) - Speeding. My boss got stranded the next town over and I went and got him. He was flipping out about being late to let his other employee (and very stately older lady who EVERYONE was kind of afraid of,lol) leave work on time.
#3 - Out of school by now. Got pulled over because I didn't have a registration sticker on my tag. Seems someone had peeled it off. Or most of it, anyway. There was a bit of the corner left. I got a warning.
#4 - Burned out tail light. Warning.
#5 - Speeding. Got a ticket that time.
#6 - Rolling stop. Warning.

My first ticket was in about 1985 for going 50 in a 35 mph zone. Oopps. Second ticket was 1997 for going 65 in a 55 zone (actually it was 68 but he gave me a break) Third time was 2011 for going through a red light. I have a very bad habit of trying to beat red lights. I am making a conscious effort now to try and not do it. I only do it once a day now! My son, who is a cop, calls me, "Miss Daisy". I actually feel more like Ma Barker behind the wheel.

Only once when my girls were in about 3rd grade. It was at a corner with a stop sign in our subdivision. There was NO reason for the stop sign. It was in the oddest spot. Anyway, I stopped but did a "rolling stop," so he stopped me and gave me a warning. A few months later, it was turned into a yield which was still stupid because there was no road to the left. It was a dead end so no one would be coming from there. LOL! I supposed "maybe" someone could have made a u-turn. And now as the mama of an officer, I get to hear daily about people she pulls over. It's quite fun to hear the stories. Hubby is now at the academy so I will start hearing it from him soon enough too.

I got stopped for speeding on the way to work on a street a few blocks from the school where I was in my first year of teaching. To add insult to injury, one of the bus drivers/custodians went by while I was pulled over. He said he could have told me that street was a bit of a speed trap. Yeah, no kidding! Wish you would have.
I got a couple other speeding tickets a few years later. Deserved them, paid the fines.
Then I didn’t get pulled over for anything for over thirty years - until this past March. I was on my way to get our taxes done, alone since my husband died in January. It was hard enough to gear up for it so I was on the edge emotionally. Had just crossed from the town where I live into the next one, on a major street, when I noticed a police car behind me. I was NOT speeding, but checked the speedometer to be sure. The car stayed behind me for a couple more blocks and then the lights went on. I went around the corner onto a side street and stopped. Female officer came up and I asked what I’d done. She told me my license sticker was expired. I was stunned. My car is leased and the leasing company has always sent me the new sticker when it’s due. Should have gotten it in November, but didn’t - and it totally slipped my mind because that’s when Vince started having some more problems and we found out he had a met to the brain. She could tell from my reaction I had no idea and she told me that the records showed it had never been applied for. I lost it and was kind of blubbering as I said that’s when we found out about the brain met and he was starting radiation (yeah, spilling my guts because I was just so emotional), so I never even thought about it. She told me her mom had brain radiation, she could tell it was an oversight and I was a good person, so no ticket, just get the sticker.
So I went on to the tax place, and when I got there I called the leasing company before I went in. Tracy was shocked that it had been overlooked and we worked out the best and fastest way to get the sticker and she told me they’d pay any ticket (luckily none) and the late fee for renewal. Then, right before I hung up, she asked "How's Vince?" Rusty, the owner of the company, knew Vince had died but somehow she didn’t. So I’m in tears again.
Then, I went in for the tax appointment, and the first thing the tax guy said was 'How's your year been?" Got teary again as I had to say for the second time in minutes and the third time in less than thirty minutes that my husband died. Talk about a sucky day.

Once (i bought my tabs but forgot to put them on. The officer checked on her computer and knew I'd bought them. Just a friendly reminder and no ticket!) unless you count the time my neighbor, who is a motorcycle cop, pulled up behind me at the entrance to the neighborhood and flipped his lights on. Har har, he's hilarious. Scared the crap out of me. He still giggles about it!

Many times when I was in outside sales and drove around 8 hours per day. Speeding, speeding and more speeding. I took defensive driving so much I could probably teach the class. (got the ticket dismissed that way) Once I stopped driving that much, I no longer speed and no longer get stopped. It has been over 25 years since I was stopped for speeding (or anything else).

More times than I can remember, but I've only received 3 tickets. I got pulled over for speeding by the fire marshal in HS. Got a couple of parking tickets for parking too close to a hitching post as well ('82-'84). The last time I got pulled over was about 2 years ago, for expired plates; but my plates were not expired. The officer informed me my tag was expired (color coded by month) but when he ran my plate, the registration was current, so someone more than likely stole the sticker off my plate.
