To all the September team players, This is the WMUWSE progress and encouragement (and vent about hurdles if needed) thread. If you're participating in challenge #35, please make yourself at home here. Come share the goal you've set for yourself this month, talk about the reason(s) why you chose it and tell us how you're making progress throughout the month. All challenges are good, no challenge is lesser or bad! Pick something that motivates you and won't be too difficult to finish. The point is to commit and try to follow through all the way, not to make your crafty life a burden. Challenge ideas: reach a certain number of pages at the end of the month, put LOs into page protectors and albums if you've got them piling up, sorting your stash, do X amount of time of something scrappy/day, make a mini, finish a project you've been meaning to, make all your Christmas cards, digitally sort and tag your photos, etc. There is a total of 13 points up for grabs. A quick reminder of they are distributed: 1. Share your goal publicly with us in this thread. 2. Keep us up to date with how you're progressing throughout the month. Each weekly update will earn you a point (4 points to grab). 3. If you share photos of your work in progress for your weekly update, earn another point (4 more points to grab). 4. If you complete your goal and share the end result, take 5 more points! Let's get busy and work on a 30-day long project! Go us!

Thank you sleepingbootymy goal for September is to (finally) complete the Mainland Japan trip album I'm doing for DS. I have two sections left - Kyoto Castle and Kyoto Railway Museum - both of which have a significant number of photos (esp. the train musuem - so many trains). This morning I went through and sorted the photos from Kyoto Castle into layouts and typed up the journalling. Next is putting into page protectors and starting to scrap them (I did get one layout one last night)

My September goal is, as usual, to average one page per day, so 30 pages created this month. If I could use the Sketchtember challenges for them all and earn the bonus points, that would be awesome, but not sure if I will be able to do that. And not sure if I can finish the 30 pages what with being gone to visit kids & grandkids, trying to get our garden harvested, and getting a new puppy at the end of the month.
Planning to take some scrappy supplies with me when I visit the kids, as at least a couple of days I think I will have the house to myself as the girls are in school. Hoping to wrap up the summer memories except for a road trip album I will work on next month. I want to scrap the back-to-school photos this month as well.
Have today's page done, b/c it was my own challenge. So 1 for 30 so far.

My goal is to get my patterned paper and my solid colored cardstock into seperate places and organized in a way so that i can find what i need instead of searching for ages every time i want to scrap. Edit: I went to a crop and spent a huge amount of time sorting paper. EDIT: DONE! with photo proof, lol!

My September goal is to do 16 pages. I also want to organize the photos that I have printed out. I have an outdated Library of Memory’s (Stacy Julian) system that I would love to update and get my more current photos into.
Update - I have done 6 pages and sadly no photo organizing. I need to get busy!!

So nice to see team players signing up for this month-long challenge! Welcome all. Love all the different types of challenges we're seeing so far: stash and photo organisation, finishing an album, doing X layouts this month, etc.
I'm going to sign up for this challenge by committing to creating an Advent calendar in advance for December. I love giving away an Advent calendar to the important people in my life. However, they take time preparing. I'd love to finish September by having at least one done!

My goal is 30 pages this month, the sketches. Huge for me, and will be hard, but this challenge will help!
My secondary goal is to organize 2019 photos...but that can be a process, and won't have an ending this month!

my goal. I have a diamond dotz for my son's room to do. it is large. he left for Air Force Basic Training in april and left me his room (hoarder). I have cleaned and cleaned and gone through his clothes etc. I still need to paint 1/4 of his room and clean the rest of his room then redecorate. part of that decoration is this diamond dotz with American flag and eagle. that is my goal as he is returning in November. not much time left to do all of this.

I think for my goal I want to finish my London/Paris Album and photos, I did all of Paris then stopped, that was 6 years ago and I was lucky to go back this year and I feel overwhelmed now having 2 trips of England to finish so that's going to be my focus. I guess first step is trying to figure out the picture situation then be able to go from there, so off I go....
9/8 Update - Well I went to find my photos realized I still had Paris from the first half of my trip unprinted so went and did that. My next goal I think at this point is to do some pocket pages with them since I have a ton of prints. Then after I get those done, I will get my London half printed. At this point I'm feeling a little overwhelmed with all this scrapping and trying not to think about it too closely. I just know I have a lot to do and I'm chipping away at it.

If it is okay with you, I am going to check in now b/c tomorrow I leave to visit kids and grandkids for about a week and a half. I have completed 17 pages in September, and 5 of those were for Sketchtember challenges. So as much on target as I can be at this time. I can't believe I actually got that many pages completed but the pressure was on to get that summer album wrapped up before I leave tomorrow. It is done as it is going to be, and already in the vehicle so I remember to take it after all this panic!
I am packing a small tool bag and some papers to take with me b/c I will have somewhere between one and three days when I am home alone while the kids are in school, so hoping to scrap some of the photos I have on my phone and maybe some of the photos I will be taking while I am with the kids. Taking some generic papers, some cardstock, some supplies for scrapping back to school LO's, and maybe some FALL papers b/c I want to do my September calendar page sometime this month, and might just get the perfect photo(s) this next week to go onto it!

My goal is to complete every Sketchtember Challenge! This is big for me, but I think I can do it.
I don't have my photos up yet, due to computer issues, but I've completed I think 4 pages so far. Plus one that just needs the photos (that would be the photo I lost). Today I did a major Tuesday Morning Haul for embellies to help me with my pages. Tomorrow I have to actually scrap! That's my week one update. Photos probably won't be up until Monday. This is cool!

I have three goals that I want to meet:
1. Do 5 of the sketches per week, so a total of 20 pages. I would love to challenge myself to do all of the sketches, but working full time makes that almost impossible. Completed so far: 17
COMPLETED: 23
2. Get 4 Project Life / P365 double page LOs done - using the most recent weeks' photos so I can meet the 72 hour challenge. Completed so far: 3
COMPLETED: 4
3. Complete another 8 pages (4 double page LOs) for my Vietnam photo book. Completed so far: 6
COMPLETED: 10 pages (5 double page LOs)
Updated as at 21/9 Updated as at 26/9
Final update 30/9
Points earned for this challenge: 9 points

I was feeling guilty for not updating...but seems like nobody has updated so yay, I'm ahead of everyone else!!! I have 10 pages done this month. Only 20 to go So, to update my goal, I'm going to AIM for 20 pages now...1 per day from this point on... I can achieve this if I stop wasting time!

I need one more Project Life page, which will be this week's photos, and another 5 3 Sketchtember sketches to meet my goal.
ETA: Ooops, I miscounted my Sketchtember layouts - I have done two more than I thought. I only need another three to meet my goal. That's including my own sketch for 29th, which I haven't posted yet.

I am going to scrap with friends all day tomorrow and we are usually fairly productive, so I am hoping to knock out 7-ish more pages! Yeah!!

While away, I managed to put together 11 more pages and a book cover, so 12 page equivalent for a total of 29 for the month. And I have my two page sample almost ready for Monday's sketch so that will be 31 pages done.
The summer album was finished and made its rounds of the grandkids. The fall back-to-school pages that I did finish have yet to find a home in an album. Still have back to school pages to do for 3 of my dgk's. Had plans to do them this past week, but the Norse gods--the ones who laugh when we plan--had other ideas.
Of course I took photos of other adventures with my dgk's, and I have a new puppy who seems to be taking over my cell phone photostream. So lots of printed photos yet to scrap and many more that need printing.
I can look at this as being "Oh no, I am BEHIND again," or I can choose to say, "Wow! Think about all the fun scrapping I will be able to do in October!" I choose the latter.

Applause Linda! I would say of the peas you are by far the most dedicated and industrious. You seem really good at getting a goal/project accomplished, and then leaving it for a few weeks while your life is busy, and then hopping right back in. I wish I had your stick-to-it-ness. I will achieve half of what I set out to do - 15 or 16 of the sketches. I just procrastinated too often. Last year I did all 30. I think this year the difference is I have lost 6-7 hours/week of scrapping time through other unfun but necessary activities.

Thank you kitbop - I haven't managed all the sketches this year either. I still need to do 14, 15, 19B, 20, 22, 23, 26B, 28, 29, and 30 - so 8-10 to go depending on whether you're counting both of the two-fers or not. That two week-ish hiatus in the middle of the month has made it hard to catch back up. edited - I might just squeek in all of the sketches - just one more to go - but it's 5pm, we have school open house tonight, and I still need to do dinner (and afterschool homework and bedtime routine with DD) And I did it!

sleepingbooty or grammadee - point counting question...I posted my goal in this thread so ONE point. I didn't do weekly updates (oops) so no points there. I did complete my goal and I shared the layouts on the sharing and sketch threads but not here. Do I still get the FIVE points for completing? or just the one goal for goal setting since I didn't share pics in the thread? Thanks
