I loved that movie! I should watch it again soon, I had an armadillo cake for my birthday inspired by it.

I like that movie, it's one of the few I can watch again.

in my 20s i watched Steel Magnolias, Beaches and Terms of Endearment all in one day. It wasn't long after I watched Fried Green Tomatoes.

I just caught this on tv a few weeks ago, been a long time since I've seen it. Lots of funny things in it though. I've always loved the funeral scene, M'Lynn rips your heart out then gets mad and when Clairee starts with "her hit this" I just about die. I now want to get myself a tshirt that says I slapped Ouiser Boudreaux! You go from tears of sadness of tears of laughter.

On the rare occasions that I have the house all to myself overnight, I watch movies back to back that make me cry. It like a huge cathartic release of emotion and I am in a better mood for week afterward.
Having said that, Dying Young was the first real tear jerker for me.

I made the mistake of watching Boys on the Side one night when I was pregnant. I could not stop crying for at least an hour after the movie ended. Talk about a tear jerker!

Steel Magnolias is my favorite movie ever! No idea how many times I have watched it and I still ugly cry every time. I need to rewatch Beaches. I have only seen it once and I don’t remember loving it. Another one I love is Stepmom with Susan Sarandon and Julia Roberts. All three of these are/were faves of mine. Sadly, I'm feeling so annoyed by Susan Sarandon of late (politics) that I'm not sure I'd appreciate Stepmom as much as I used to. Beaches will always be my favorite over Steel Magnolias on some level. There's something about it I find easier to relate to.

The story is so well done.
