Tomorrow would have been our 25th anniversary. He died shortly before our 18th. As per the usual, today is harder than tomorrow will be. It doesn't help with the house closing fiasco that is currently going on. That said, Im way less stressed out about it than I would have been. I have all my windows open, a lovely breeze is blowing in. I can smell the ocean air. I can't hear the waves but I know they are there. I walked down Sunday to watch the sunset and tomorrow after I get home from my crazy work trip to LA, I will be sitting on the sand watching the waves. I swear I could have saved myself thousands of dollars in therapy had I just moved sooner. Yes my apartment is a crazy mess, but that is slowly sorting itself out. Yes the house is stressful and gave me a few bad hours over night but hey, it will work out one way or another. Now if I could only figure out how to post photos and overwhelm you will all the sunset photos I take like I do my facebook friends

That is wonderful. I have my "beach therapy group" on Thursdays. We go to the beach and drink wine and solve the worlds problems. The ocean is so therapeutic!

Oh, you are speaking my language. People laugh at me when I say I need the water. They all seem to want it to just be away and get a tan. It truly does speak to me when I need to be spoken to.
Enjoy your sunsets and waves!

I have been hoping you'd post something like this - that you are happy and loving your new location.
Gentle hugs as you remember your DH.

I’m on the opposite coast and feel exactly the same about the ocean. Sometimes I tell dh I want to go to the beach and he says “to make sure it’s still there?” Yes...exactly. Just to make sure it’s still there.
I’m very happy for you.

I know the feeling, we moved to the lake last year and every day I drive up I have trouble believing that I LIVE here year round. Watching the water change during storms is wonderful.

I'm so glad. The last few days have been heavenly, with perfect temperatures and windows open all day and night. The beach is my happy place and I know I could never be happy living far away from it.

I'm so glad you are finding peace!
I love the beach and I'm sad I can't go anymore due to my illness. Please post photos when you can, I'd love to see it!

I’m so happy that you are so happy! I grew up on both coasts. I don’t miss the water until I’m there. Dorian stopped my trip to coastal NC last week. Don’t know when I’ll get a glimpse of the ocean. I do like living in the middle of the country however, so I’ll survive until I can make it later this year.
