There was a Downtown fan event tonight to see the movie. I went.
They do a nice recap at the beginning for people who have never seen Downton. It was fun to see old faces like Matthew and Sybil on the screen even if just for a minute.
The movie is pure and utter fan service. Everything Downton did best-glitz and glamour and pomp and circumstance. It’s was fun to see all the crystal and flowers and chandeliers and costumes on such a big screen.
There’s one part I wish they’d left out because it involves one of my favorite characters but it may have been necessary if there are to be more films in the future.
Did anyone else see it? What did you think?

I can't wait! But I probably will have to.
It takes forever for movies to get here, and harvest is about to start, so I won't be done working most nights until 10.. sob...

I can't wait!!!! My MIL and I have a date to see this next weekend.
So glad that you didn't give a disappointing review. So often these movies fall flat.
