I watched the first episode over the weekend and enjoyed it. The HGTV folks and the "Brady Kids" just seemed be having fun. I'm hooked for the rest of the shows.

While I liked the first episode, I’m irrationally aggravated at the amount of money being spent.

I'm loving it! I wonder if they'll open it to the public?

I watched and am hooked. Very interested in all the renovations and attempts to match the decor because I, like so many other hooked Americans, grew up with this show and this is all burned into our memories. It's almost like visiting your own childhood home again.
Just yesterday morning, I was chatting with my sister about the show and she said that her new goal in life is to have an oversized amber-colored cluster of grapes on her shelf. She simply "must have them!" -- she's so funny (but she's also totally serious). Well wouldn't you know, that afternoon, my cousin who is visiting from CA (where my sister is) and I were in a local consignment and antique shop here in Louisville and what do you think we saw on a shelf? A big oversized cluster of amber-colored grapes -- just like the ones on the Brady's coffee table. We grabbed them for my sister and my cousin is flying home with them now as we speak.

I am so loving it.... ALSO so you know when they were looking for the decorations and some of the fans submitted theirs? WELL, those two exact pieces, the grape thing on the table and the curio cabinet? Well I was watching Andy Griffith and BOTH of those items were used on the show. It was the episode were Andy, Aunt Bee and Opie went to Hollywood and those pieces were in a 'Hollywood' star house... I spotted those and just went whoaaaaa nooooo way.... (You can see on Netflix.. around season six-seven I believe)

That is flipping awesome... Maybe I need a new obsession like that.. haha this is so something my sister and I would do.

I'm loving it! I wonder if they'll open it to the public? If I recall correctly, they'll be using it as an AirBNB.

I heard the Air BNB also. They paid an enormous amt for the house. I figure syndication will help pay for it, HGTV will run shows in the ground. I am in between the ages of the Brady girls and I don't "think" I look that old. Especially, if I had professional makeup artists

we watched it yesterday, too! at first, I was like "why would they do that?" but once I realized the 'real' house is soo, sooo, sooo very different than the TV house, I think it will be a lot of fun to see the transformation. And to see the actors reminiscing about the show, some of their favorite furnishings, how they had to shoot certain scenes (ex: there was only ONE camera, so when they were sitting at the dining room table it would take HOURS because they had to get close-up shots of EACH actor separately), I think it's going to be a lot of fun.
Barry Williams (Greg) also had the guys from Fast and Loud find and restore a Brady-era station wagon, too- I happened to come across that last night by accident, and recorded it too.
eta: the neighbors had to be SUCH good sports about the whole thing- I think I'd pay to just take a TOUR of the place, let alone stay in it!

I got hooked into watching this after seeing the whole bunch on Rachael Ray. Can't believe I got sucked in... but its kinda like watching part of your childhood. Enjoyed the first episode. The part with the 3 d printer was kinda cool. I really can't believe how much $$$$$ is going into this, making the second story etc, printing the fabric for the couch etc. Its going to be an expensive AirBnB. Can they even do that in LA ??

If they make it an Airbnb, I would really be concerned about people walking off with the original accessories that people have been sending them.

A more recent article I saw yesterday said it would be more for corporate retreats or groups. Apparently the house next door (design central on the show) is already on VRBO.
