Hi happy scrappy peas!
On Thursdays, LisaDV and I are offering two sketches, each with 2 interpretations (we hope, 3 down, 1 to go! ) ! You will also get two twists, one associated with each sketch. *** you only need to complete one of the two to "finish" Sketchtember and get the 50 point month bonus. However, we thought bonus points were in order for our two-fer Thursday! (these points replace the normal associated Sketchtember points; they're not additional )
You can complete one sketch for 1 point. If you complete the sketch and associated twist you get 5 points. If you complete one sketch with both twists, you get 7 points. If you complete both sketches with it's associated twist each you get 15 points If you complete both sketches with BOTH twists each you get 20 points!
Ready, set...
Sketch #1, by LisaDV. TWIST #1: fabric or felt
And Lisa's hilarious example, using a brilliantly captured moment...
My interpretation of Lisa's sketch changed hexagons to triangles, and got a lot "busier" (would you expect anything else from me?)
Sketch #2 TWIST #2: torn/distressed edges
My interpretation - dove into my scraps and found Sassafrass and SEI. Decided to stay with the theme of OLD stash, and found fabric letter stickers (have no clue as to manufacturer), Fancy Pants rub-ons, Dear Elsie chipboard and stickers and epoxy.
And Lisa amazingly turned it into a 2 page spread!
Hope you will play along, and share your creations with us here!

I do have a template for my sketch, but couldn’t get it to upload yesterday or this morning. Farm dsl is so slow it just fails or times out. I think I’ll have to call. Ugh. But today doggies have to go to the vet.

But today doggies have to go to the vet. You don't need to upload it for me, I've already done my LO! Just putting some finishing touches to it before I upload.

AussieMeg - How adorable is that guy and I love the Christmas colors Well I'm a physical scrapper and I did not have a hexagon die so used octagon instead. My take on it 12x12 Page by Dictionary-1, on Flickr

These are amazing! I love how bright the examples are so far. AussieMeg, I love your colour palettes in your layouts, spot on, and I love the cluster in the 2nd layout, the lace combined with the floral is beautiful. Dictionary, amazing amazing use of colour and space - I could look at it all day, the balance of elements is so good.

AussieMeg - Again so pretty, love the combination of pp you choose and ITA that lace is a nice touch. My take, I did actually sew on my page and distress the edges and I ended up flipping the sketch. DSC_0001 by Dictionary-1, on Flickr

I think I left love on some of these pages in the gallery this past week, but I will here as well, just in case. It’s one of those months. AussieMeg, I love Furry & Bright. The colors and the santa hat on your dog are both wonderful. The bow tied around the hexagon is perfect. Your soft pastel colors and patterns are so beautiful. I love the torn edges with the stitching and the stamped circle anchoring the embellishments. Dictionary, Tigger Ears, I’m a huge Tigger fan and adore this layout so much. I love the colors and the octagons. Cutie: LOVE!!! Those colors are just fabulous together. He is a Cutie! Chinagirl828, Sick Day: Such a sweet cat. I love the soft colors and how you nestled the hexagons close together.

I swear every time there's a hexagon challenge, I struggle with it but here's my 2ft long pet fish (he's a plecostomus or algae eater - he started out about 1.5" long)

I'm sorry but I HATE my layout for this one - I struggled with the triangular angles across the page and it just looks awkward and busy and ... ugh. I think I'm probably going to end up re-scrapping this photo - and I almost never do that.
