I don't pay attention to who the poster is, so it's nothing personal. I usually read the board without signing in so I don't comment often. When I do want to respond sometimes others have already responded and said it more eloquently than I would have so I don't bother. The board has been moving slowly lately.

After taking a peek at your posting history, it appears you attempted a positive post about a Republican. Around these parts, Reps/Cons are considered more evil than Charles Manson or even Lucifer himself. Be happy you got no responses because if you had, they wouldn't have been pleasant. I’ve said positive things about Rep Hurd ( R ) from Texas multiple times & no one had been rude to me about it or jumped on me or anything. I have in the past said positive things about several Republicans without anyone being mean. Well except the people who comments that they were RINO’s

I have experienced this as well. I have started a thread and get very few responses. A little time passes and someone else asks the very same question/topic and they get tons of replies. Personally, I think some replies are based on who the original poster is. Those who are more active in posting and participating, seem to get more input and participation on their threads. Just my personal observation, no big deal, I don't care about the amount of replies (or lack thereof), I just notice stuff like that. I personally read, more than I reply. There are topics I seek out (travel, make up, skin care, what's your new favorite thing/product, etc..) and topics I avoid (Politics, games, etc..). Me too! I wish I could figure out how to post pictures or make an avatar. I think it's easier to remember who a poster is if you remember their picture. I often identify posters by their avatar. If they change it it throws me off!

This brings back memories of the old board. Remember all of the threads about popular peas vs. the rest of us? Some of those got down right dirty!

Wow that is a harsh comparison/generalization She's baaaaack! Negative Nellie.

I took a look at your history, some of your posts have quite a few replies and some don't. One I think had only 1 and another had 77. I have posted and only received a few and other times alot. It depends on the topic and the timing of the post, I think more than the poster. I don't think you're any different than any other pea.

Wow- this thread is the best! Some of my older threads (years ago) where more of a thread-killer. LOL TFS

Don’t take it personally. I don’t pay attention to who started the thread. I mostly read on my phone so I can only see who the last poster is. The thread title is usually what determine if I open it or not. I also rarely look beyond the first page. I avoid political posts, so if I suspect, I probably won’t open. Also, if I have nothing new to contribute I won’t. None of it is personal. And yes I’ve killed plenty of threads.

I respond to things that I feel comfortable with generally. (Clearly by my posting number, I am realllllly comfortable with a lot of things). Even though I post a lot, my threads aren't up everyone's alley. I get it and really try not to overthink it. It is so easy to slip back into the high school mindset of people not liking or judging. Don't do that. What I might suggest is that you post more on other people's threads and they will get to know you better. There are a few ladies on here who I feel like I know because they generally respond to my threads. You know who you are!

Oh man, not only my own threads but I kill others as well. You are definitely not alone! This. Many many times since 2001!

I personally read, more than I reply. And of course, if you only read but don't reply then you're doing the same thing to someone else... I know. I have to remember to make an effort to post more. Sometimes I read, but feel I have nothing to contribute. Especially the travel threads. I am making notes and adding to my bucket list. I haven't travelled much, YET! So I usually have nothing to add to the commentary.

I will only not reply to two posters here on the board, otherwise, I never really look at who's posting.

I’ve started threads that received zero responses.
And I’m guilty of many things, But deciding whether to reply based on the original poster is is not one of my faults.

I am just starting this thread to say that I have had more than X (fill in the blank) of zero responses on my thread I'm sorry. I've skipped over numerous threads. It's usually because I don't have an answer for the poster. There are only a tiny amount of peas where I don't ever respond to their threads. You are not one of them! BTW, I don't hate Republicans. I voted for a few in the last election. I'm sorry I missed your thread.

I took a look at recent threads you started. I haven't seen a Love Letter to Gammy. I don't have kids that do sleep overs. I didn't know who NEO was (toothpaste thread). I've only tried wine (White Claw Hard Seltzer thread). I haven't traveled in years (Illinois thread). I don't subscribe to subscription boxes.
Basically, it's all on me! If I don't have something to contribute, I usually don't respond. I should have responded to your Val K post! There's something weird about him that's always bothered me, but I can't figure it out. I noticed you have quite a few movie/TV threads. I'll try to pay more attention. I mostly come here for fluff.

Thanks for posting now. Makes me laugh, which is a good thing! Cheers. I like the communication/knowledge/interactions here. Thanks to you all.

Wow that is a harsh comparison/generalization but so true. Maybe in your opinion.... But in my opinion no group of people should be generalized in this manner...and might be a part of the reason that sometimes people are not comfortable posting.....
