There have been many threads about decluttering, reorganising, destashing and freezing on the board lately. I've noticed that there are discussions about what to keep, what to hoard, what to get rid of. In the spirit of embracing change, I thought I'd share the new episode from The Minimalists on the topic of decluttering, including stuff related to your hobby (first 16 minutes of the episode). By the 25min mark, they also discuss keeping and storing holiday decorations. The Minimalists are a very chill duo in the minimalism movement. They don't judge, they don't preach a particular way of applying minimalism, they encourage thinking and setting one's own boundaries and/or rules if one feels the need or desire to. They're just wise (ish ) cheerleaders for those who question their stuff, finances and general meaning to give to their life.

Thanks. I'm interested in listening, if I can get past my irrational dislike of these two (which I think stems back to when they first got popular and included quotes from *themselves* as chapter epigraphs in their book, as if they were wise sages full of enduring wisdom...) lol. I should give them another chance. Although with me they will be preaching to the choir, for the most part. But you never know when you'll hear something helpful that clicks.

I thought that was a pretty good episode. Almost made want to become a Patreon just so I could listen to the longer broadcast and hear the answers to those teaser questions they had at the end. Lol!

Teehee, I get that they may have come across a little full of themselves in their first book. I actually enjoy The Minimalists more as podcasters and documentary-makers. They discuss things with a good balance between improvisation and structured response. Like you, I'm already part of the choir but I still get a kick out of listening to their discussions and find myself nodding along, setting aside another thing or two to donate or get rid of as the episode unfolds. I hope you give them another chance sometime.
