It's also beneficial to change brands occasionally if you use them for a prolonged period of time.

I think that the doctor thinks it will help booster my immune system. Or get rid of the hex that is over me. What is a "hex" and I'm not sure a pro biotic will boost your immune system... Go for it...Treat the problem not the symptoms.

And just to add a little fun. I brought in a box that had been covered in dirt ( filth , whatever). I wiped it down really good before moving.
I must have touched my eye, because I think I have pink eye now. I am on antibiotics how the hell could I get pink eye?

I think it's great he has made that suggestion for you. Here's praying you don't have anymore craziness happen! Hugs!

I am not sure why a dr. would recommend a pro-biotic for your ailments? Just wondering.... all of the advertising of this one and that one and this one does that. I would think that if you don't have a GI problem, not sure how a "pro-biotic" will help. Read the ingredients on all of these pro-biotics and there's a lot of excess things that may not be beneficial. Be cautious of the label pro-biotic. I never went for the hype, but that's my opinion, in my particular case. I have no problems with GI... but many people do, so just read the labels and think about what your troubles are and if you need to change your diet. I hope you get a resolution. READ the labels! HTH. A few years ago after my DD had back to back ear, sinus and bronchial infections and was on several antibiotics, she developed c-diff. It was AWFUL. Her doctor at the time, as well as my niece who is a RN, both recommended that ANY time someone is prescribed an antibiotic that person should also start taking a probiotic as well in between doses of the antibiotic as a preventative measure. We’ve been following that advice ever since. We typically buy Culturelle at Costco and always keep some on hand. The antibiotics you take to kill the infection also kills all the good bacteria in your intestines which keeps the bad bacteria in check. When the bad bacteria take over, you end up with c-diff and that’s something you never want to have to deal with. Trust me on that. It’s VERY contagious and very hard to kill on household surfaces so the best thing you can do is to not ever get it in the first place.
