My card challenges are all about using up scraps. You know, those bits and pieces we have left over. This example is made from 1/2" strips. The sentiment was printed then cut into 1/2" strips. If you are a part of the team challenges you'll get a point for the card and an extra point for each repeat of the same. 5 - Birthday cards - 5 extra points. IMG_3813 by CLAUDIA LOVELESS, on Flickr

Great use of scraps, gramma!
Can you please clarify whether our scraps need to be cut into strips to make cards like your samples for the challenge, or can we cut the scraps any way we want as long as we use scraps?

I have been wanting to try these since you posted some last month. So today I cut up a bunch of scraps and had a great time. I will have to wait until tomorrow to take a photo of them. Thanks for this idea. They are really cool, gramma !

I went through my fall scraps. This is the card that I came up with. Even the card base was made from a scrap of card stock left over from something.

I'll try to make some cards in the true spirit of this challenge - I have a bunch of offcuts from a Halloween 6x6 pad that will work really well as strips or squares or something else like that. But I did also use white cardstock scraps today. I had a big stack of rectangles leftover from some die cutting I did (probably 2 years ago!) and I found a Christmas sentiment stamp that would fit nicely on them and stamped a LOT of Joyeux Noël sentiments to add to card bases I already had made. I always wonder if I'm being silly saving these kinds of scraps. They're not easy to keep sorted and they tend to gather dust, but it just seems like a waste to toss them. Then (5) points for creating 5 cards with scraps for this challenge. Looks like you have 3 designs here, so Sharing is (3). Count the points for each different type of card. Multiply by 2 for the doubles. Claim another (5) for gramma’s challenge to create 5 cards. Once you add up all those points, multiply by 4 for making cards on Double Dip Saturday! Lovely cards, BTW! Very elegant in black & white!

I used leftover pieces of paper I had watercolored with Brushos pigment powders to cut the smaller leaves from. The piece of wood-grained paper is also a scrap from some cards I made at least a year ago. I don't know if buttons count as scraps, but the wood button is leftover from a My Mind's Eye set that I've had for probably a decade.

The button is a great touch. gramma , joblackford and azcrafty , I left love in the gallery. I love the pattern that gramma shared and have had a lot of fun with it.
