The Dallas police just held a news conference and said it's all drug related.
Two suspects are still on the loose and one is in custody.
Thoughts?

Not surprised, based on the incident in November. I figured he was running with the wrong people and it caught up to him.

This is a developing story and will be updated. Dallas police officials on Tuesday said at a news conference at Dallas Police headquarters that they have three suspects in connection with the shooting death of Joshua Brown. All three suspects came from Alexandria, La., to purchase drugs from Joshua Brown, a police spokesman said. One suspect has been arrested, and warrants have been issued for two other suspects. Assistant chief Avery Moore identified the suspects as Thaddeous Charles Green, Jacquerious Mitchell, and Michael Diaz Mitchell. Jacquerious Mitchell is in custody at Parkland hospital, Moore said. The announcement came as pressure increased from community leaders for an independent investigation into Brown's case. Brown was a witness in the murder trial of former Dallas police officer Amber Guyger. The timing of Brown's death raised public speculation about whether the shooting was tied to his testimony. www.dallasnews.com/news/2019/10/08/dallas-police-name-three-suspects-joshua-brown-murder-investigation/

Brown must have been a well known (high volume?) dealer since he had people coming from Louisiana to purchase from him.

Either way, its a horrible thing to have happened. I agree with you...it is a horrible thing. However, the details of the address do not match up with what TMZ posted. This happened in a part of Dallas that is extremely dangerous. Before people jump to conclusions let's make sure that we have all of the correct facts. I would say we should be that way about all media stories anymore frankly.
This is horrible, btw. How sad. May he rest in peace. It was very kind of his brother to forgive her. I saw that the judge also gave her a copy of her own bible after sentencing.

Or if it truly is drug related, perhaps the drug dealers were purposefully trying to time the murder around the trial to thwart suspicion.

I didn't know about his drug issues before now, so it definitely changes the way I see this.

When I saw his picture in court, I thought who goes to testify in court in a bright graphic tee? I read the comments under the TMZ article, sifting through the nonsense, and several people said the same thing. Someone also pointed out his neck tattoos. So based on his appearance, and that he is self-employed, I would wager to guess he runs with people that illegally have guns. So his shooting may be related to his lifestyle. Wow, those are some terrible assumptions based on someone's appearance. Because someone wears a Dragonball Z t-shirt, has tattoos, and is self employed? He was a property manager for four Airbnbs, which is a viable job. I own two Airbnbs, and if I owned more, I definitely could not do it on the side in addition to my day job. That's why owners use property managers like him. Entrepreneurs and business owners are self employed. So are real estate agents. So are freelancers. None of which equate to hanging out with people who own firearms illegally.

Let the conspiracy theories begin....... so you don't think his murder has anything to do with his testifying? Wasn't he shot in the mouth? It seems likely that it was related to his testimony. It's just sickening.

I can understand why some might lean toward conspiracy theories, but this man was also shot in 2018 and had a history of involvement with shady individuals. It is sad that he was murdered, but I don't think t hff e police are behind his death.
