Yeah, I don't see much I don't like about it.. I'll take it.. That kids area is so adorable!!!
Some of the furnishings were not my taste. But that doesn't really matter.
I think though for that price there should be a pool.. I mean there IS a basketball court, there should be a pool.. LOL
Edited after reading the comments.
Funny I didn't even notice the ironing board.. maybe mom just got done ironing and didn't put it away?? haha
The desk thing was puzzling me by the comments. I thought ya'll were talking about the built-in one and I just thought it was a cute little nook. But scrolling through the pic again, that desk that seems to be sitting in the hallway.. that does seem like a weird location.. but that would be leaving anyways.
I guess I really don't mind the neighbors, they are kinda close but it doesn't seem to be 'that' close.. MY neighbors are way closer than that..
Would need to have a couple of hired people to clean!!

Very nice! Such a lovely neutral palette throughout. There are so many other houses close around it, but it seems as if they situated well to still feel somewhat private.

I really feel like I’m weird when it comes to these million + dollar homes. I tend to never like the inside but I fall in love with the outside living space (porches, outside kitchen area).

Now that I love! Their furniture was a bit chunky/ornate for me, but I'm not buying their things. LOVE the kitchen! If I don't like a kitchen in a home, I stop looking at the rest lol.

I also feel like I’m weird - I don’t like huge houses and I don’t like the idea of having everything in my home (movie theater, gym, wine cellar) - I’d rather have an amazing town home or smaller house in a nice area walkable to the theater, wine bars etc lol. But maybe in Minnesota you don’t want to walk most of the year! The one thing I would like is a pretty pool and trees with a patio so I can sit outside and relax and read

My boss just put his condo up for sale in Los Angeles for $1.1 ... the ONLY thing I love is the view of downtown L.A.; other than that I need more than a tri-level (4th story is the deck) 1600 sq foot condo!!
ETA - the house in the OP is simply stunning. Wow - everything is perfectly decorated (well, the Alice thing would be painted over if it was me LOL)
Does anyone else pretend they're on House Hunters and look at the photos thinking "oh but the neighbors are too close", "the cabinets are too dark", etc.? I think I need a break from those shows!

Not exactly what I would choose if I were rich and building a house to suit me. But if someone just wanted to give it to me (and pay the taxes/upkeep etc), I wouldn't turn them down!
I love the butler's pantry, laundry room and what looks like a mudroom with a dog shower.

It is a lovely home. Love all the features you listed, DEX, along with the kitchen/family room fireplace. The only thing I found odd was the modern computer desk in the hallway.

It's beautiful and all but I was really looking to purchase a $6 million house - that one is too small All kidding aside, that house is really nice - it has some features I really like. If I bought it, I would leave the Alice & Wonderland room as is, because it is so cute. I just can't imagine having that kind of money. Wow!

I now live in a, master on the main level, 2 bedroom (+ craft room) cute town home. My location is perfect for me. Between the high taxes, exorbitant utility bills and having to have someone else $$$ come to maintain the yard and landscape, it was killing me. Now I pay $200 a month association dues for everything and my utilities are only $120 a month for gas and electric. I love the interior of the house but all the "specialty" rooms make me dizzy. Formal dining plus informal dining with outside dining are just too much for me. With a house that big, you would also need a cleaning crew of 2-3 people. I just thought it had a lot of neat features but at this stage in my life, I would not want all those stairs, specialty rooms, or square footage to have to decorate.

Has some nice features. Neutral but not sterile looking. $4 million, the neighbors are sort of close for that amount!

A lot of these houses just seem to have so much wasted space on random nooks and hallways. I think I find those more charming in a very old home. In modern homes it just feels inefficient. I love the size of the laundry room, but with that huge room they couldn't figure out storage for the ironing board? I will also never understand the wine cellar with with tacky Tuscan styling. It only works in a true European villa. It’s not like you’re hanging out in the wine cellar. You take your bottle to your entertaining space. Here’s my current dream home. www.countrylife.co.uk/property/historic-stronghold-gordon-clan-come-sale-challenge-opportunity-lifetime-202783

Honestly, if I could afford to buy that house I would be far happier living in say, a home 1/4 the size and donating a bunch of $ to organizations helping the less fortunate. I'd be beyond embarrassed to live there.

Lovely home and could live there, but if I was going to spend that much money on a dream home, it has to be have more space between me and my neighbors.

That's why ours was in the family room when they were younger. No one is standing behind them monitoring activity with it in an upstairs hallway. Ha, lisacharlotte, I had the same thought about the ironing board.

It's a beautiful house. I'd love to see it in person. It's a fairly warm home for one that large. Usually they feel too cold.
I love the kitchen with those beams and open ceiling. Beautiful!
It's on less than an acre and doesn't have pool so I guess I'll keep looking though.

I am selling my house (just kidding) Some features I loved: Laundry room I could live in Tell me what you think! Yep, that laundery room! My WD are stacked in a 5'x6' "room." I could host a party in that laundry room While the style is not my taste, I think I could manage to live there! The only thing I really don't like is that even though the lot is just under an acre, those neighbors looks awfully close to me.

no water rower in the gym, and not a single Elmo mural to be found in the entire house. I'll pass.

Can you imagine having 1,500 acres in Scotland with open meadows, woodlands, and a stream on it? I’d never want to leave. I am currently looking for a very small manageable house, but I’d take that one if I had the 1.3 mil.

If my husband and I ever designed a house, it would have an over the top pantry and a basketball court and everything else would be secondary-haha. This is a good start.

It’s a beautiful house! If I had that kind of money plus a bunch more, it would have to be all one level with a basement, and on at least 100 acres. And an indoor/outdoor amazing pool. And come with a cook and multiple housekeepers. LOL
