I take Glucosamine HC: with MSM and get it at Costco. I had to stop taking it for two weeks prior to have surgery and didn't resume until I had my post op appointment with the doctor, so close to a month without it and I could tell as my left knee ached/hurt. Within a week of taking it, my knee was much better.

Dh takes the Glucosamine HCI/MSM mentioned above, we buy it from Sam's. Cheap and effective for his shoulder issues.

What works best for me are daily cranberry supplements.
I started taking them after menopause for my urinary tract and eventually realized that 90% of my knee pain and stiffness had also disappeared. Cranberry is a natural anti-inflammatory, as it happens. So it did the trick.

I take Osteo BiFlex triple strength and I think it's made a difference on my knees. I just added in Collagen Peptides to see if that helps even more.

I take Natures Way Joint Movement Glucosamine. It’s a liquid which I needed since most of the pills I looked at were huge & I couldn’t swallow them. I’ve always had issues with pill swallowing.

My Ortho recommended Tylenol and Alleve, both twice a day, over Celebrex or any other prescription. He did recommend periodic liver function tests, which I have anyway due to my heart meds. My Internist and Cardiologist both agreed, and I found after 2 weeks, my knees were painfree, and more flexible. I have serious knee issues, and was advised to get them replaced 10 years ago, but I really want to leave the world with the same body parts I started with!). At 66, I am averaging 20,000 steps a day, and am running up and down stairs again. I did not have much success with Gloucosamine supplements.

My Integrative Medicine doctor suggested I take ArthroSoothe by Designs for Health for my aching knees which only hurt when I go up and down steps. It works really well and stops all of my pain.

Cranberry is a natural anti-inflammatory, as it happens. So it did the trick. I just ordered some. I am going to take it in addition to what I am already taking. I really, really need an anti-inflammatory. Thanks!
