My challenges are all related to dimension in some way. This time, your challenge is to create an interactive card. The twist is to make a dimensional interactive card, and/or use a stamp set you have bought but never used before now. If you are part of an October Team, you get one point for making an interactive card, one point for sharing it, plus a bonus point for making an interactive card that is dimensional, and another bonus point if you use a stamp set that you have never used before. Here are 3 examples of interactive cards, but you are not limited in any way to these. A card with a pocket that has a tag to pull out is interactive, although not necessarily dimensional. The first example is only slightly dimensional until you open the coffin (which is held closed with thin magnets). The second example is also only slightly dimensional, but has a wheel to turn. The third card is flat until you pull the tag, and then it becomes dimensional. More information, as well as a link to the tutorial are on my blog (my signature is my blog link, at the bottom of this post). It’s the last entry for Monday, October 14th. Edited to add: I used dies for the first two examples, and my cutter for the third, but I have posted a link to a tutorial on SplitcoastStampers (a little farther down in this thread). No die or electronic cutter is needed for making the third card. You can probably find other tutorials online for interactive cards, too, but the third card is fairly easy to make from scratch if you have the directions and measurements.

I love interactive cards. Now to decide what I want to do! Thanks, scrapnnana. Your cards are incredible. I especially love the last one where card pops up.

okay - this one was seriously hard - and my card isn't very good - but it's the only card that made it to actual functioning so I'm calling it a day and giving up on interactive cards for now. (are there cutting files or dies or somthing?)

Linda, your butterfly card is very cute! I love the embossing folder you used. I suspect a lot of people have difficulty doing interactive cards. I did use dies for my first two card samples, and I used a Silhouette Design Store cutting file for for the third, but here is a link to an excellent tutorial that I used in the past for learning how to make the third card without a die or cutting file: Tutorial for Surprise Window Slider, no die or cutting file needed

Great job, Linda . I love the butterfly popping open. That's such a pretty butterfly embossing folder you used. I don't think I have seen that before. Beautiful job on your interactive card. Before I got my Silhouette, I used to look up interactive cards online and make them. Now I usually make one from a Silhouette file and then alter it for the occasion. I have 2 early November birthdays in my family. I have never done a wiper card, so decided to try that for my DD's b-day. I vowed I'd never make another Happy Birthday interactive with all the folds, but for my son-in-law I was willing to do it again. It was much easier this time. I may make a few more for special birthdays next year. I need to get these in the mail. On this card I used a new stamp that I just bought at the EP sale last week. It's the crosshatching on the front of the card. I used my stamping platform to get it to print all over. These challenges are making me try things I own but have never used. Make A Wish Cake Wiper card Happy Birthday Interactive

Thanks for the link to the tutorial, scrapnnana. I love pop up cards, but don't always (or often) have the patience to create them. Love the simple butterfly, Linda. I think I could manage that one! Off to Flickr to take a look at your fun cards more closely, nylene!

I am posting this separately in the hopes it will stand out.
First of all, I know this one can be a more time consuming challenge, but I really appreciate everyone who has joined in and shared their creations!
For those who want suggestions for simpler interactive cards to do, it can be a shaker card, or even just a pocket with a tag to pull out.

I love it, Dictionary! Those snowmen are super cute! I also really like how the sentiment is in two parts.

azcrafty, your shaker cards are wonderful. I love the glass of flowers in the first one, and the stacked cups in the 2nd are so pretty. I love the tiny confetti you used for the shaker. These will be much loved by the recipients. Great ideas.
