and thought of the peas.... Lady pushed her cart into the corral and missed and hit a car. Judge rules in favor of the car owner in damages of $981! Judge Milian went off on the carriage pusher and her attitude! Put your carts away.

What was the lady’s defense? Why did she think she was not responsible? I would think this would be a no-brainer, but it never is.

katlady She said that she had no time to discuss it and that all cars that park in the lot get dings and she wasn't responsible and many people just fling their carts and don't put them back in the corral... oh and it was a windy and snowy day...

How did she miss the corral unless she was shoving it in from a distance?
One time I was at Home Depot and we were walking back to the car,. We only bought one, hand-carried item, so we had no cart. When we got to the car a cart started rolling towards a car that was pulling in. I have no idea why it started rolling, but I froze and did not run to catch it. The man looked at me like it was my fault the cart hit his car. Sorry dude, I would have helped but I froze, and nothing I can do about that.

I missed it but my dd called me about the case. She said she thought of 2Peas right away! I hope I catch it on a rerun someday.

That's exactly what Judge M. was calling her out on... she was just shoving it at the general area, but it caught on a pile of old snow and went off the path and happened to hit her car.

Oh. This scares me a little. One of my little pleasures in life is pushing the cart into the corral from a bit of a distance, walking away as it zips in. I’ve never missed and I don’t know why I get such pleasure from it.
