Ok, so we've done ribbons, we've done layers... now it's time for some dimension! I LOVE to pop things up on my cards, in my scrapbook pages, just about any crafting! I am guilty of MAYBE using too many pop dots (or dimensionals in SU! lingo, I'm not a consultant, I just love the brand). I am ADDICTED to those little buggers! Show us some dimension! Pop up your phrase, or your main focal point, or whatever you like! Here are a couple of examples! Go crazy!! Attachments:

I'm dimensionally challenged! But I've got some die cuts to play with today so I'll try to pop some of them up. All of your cards look great with the added dimension, especially the last Christmas card. I love the snowy tree too. Simple but it looks like it has a lot of texture and details that would be stunning IRL. OK, lets pop some things up!
BTW have you heard what they call pop-dots in British tutorials - sticky fixers, I think it is? Such a weird name! I'm guessing it's a brand name but it's not very descriptive. I'd assume it was just glue dots from the name.

I love your cards, Mel. The Halloween bubbling pot and the little cat popped up add so much dimension. Your Christmas cards are also beautiful. Just bumping up a couple of elements really make a difference. Thank you for the challenge and the samples.

Mel, I really like Stampin'Up's dimensional adhesive too. I love the tiny ones that are not as thick so you can pop up several layers. I have used it on this card. Santa Merry Christmas

joblackford , your cards are unbelievable. I love Doodlebug and love every detail you have used. Are your backgrounds from Doodlebug 6x6 pads. They are just the perfect size for cards and match so well. You have a real gift in putting things together. These are so very cute and classy. I like your MOAR and I'm jealous about the giveaway win!

I like your MOAR and I'm jealous about the giveaway win! Thank you Your comments have been so encouraging (I had a bit of a slump this summer, so it's really been helpful to hear nice things from you all here). I would usually use 6x6 pads, but this time I was given the 12x12 collection kit, so I chopped most of the papers into 6 pieces (4x5.25) to use as backgrounds before I started. I find 6x6 is a better scale for cards, but 12x12 gives a lot of paper to work with - sometimes too much. I'm currently almost out of the best die cuts but I still have a huge pile of card backgrounds to use up. Luckily they should work well without much added to them (and I do have stickers, though I find them harder to use). 6x6 gives me 2" wide off cuts to play with, and then I can do something like what eponinekc.blogspot.com/ does with her card sketches. I can usually get 30-40 cards out of a good 6x6 with a couple of packs of die cuts.

Mel, I love your examples, but the third one is my favorite. It’s lovely! nylene, your dimensional Santa is so cute! joblackford, you have such a wonderful variety of adorable cards! All of the Doodlebug characters are cute, but the two cards with the children are my favorites. I finally got my card made this morning, but couldn’t upload the picture till this evening. I popped both the Santa cut apart card, and the “postage stamp” that I hand cut from another cut apart card.

I am really enjoying seeing everyone's cards on here - they're all wonderful. These little guys are popped up with SU Dimensionals: Edited: I just re-read my post here and realized I forgot to credit Vicky P as the inspiration for this card - well, I mostly CASEd it

scrapnnana, I love that vintage Santa. The stamped 25th circle is a great touch. The little stamp image matches perfectly with the Santa. Two beautiful background prints of holly and berries and your green ribbon is the perfect final touch. What a pretty card. I love all things vintage. marg, those are the most adorable dogs. I love the play on words on the very needed sentiment. We all need to be reminded of that. Lovely card.

Beautiful card, azcrafty! I want to know if you make all your gorgeous poinsettias? Whether you do or not, they are lovely.
Linda, I think your card is great. I like that you matted the sentiment to make it stand out.

marg your paws card is delightful! Happy dogs are the best reminders to enjoy the little things. azcrafty sorry to hear you haven't been well. Your card is lovely - bright and bold, the gold and the poinsettia are wonderful. Linda my favorite kind of card - why reinvent the wheel? Cut aparts make it so easy to make a beautiful card. I love the background paper. And using up scraps is always good.

azcrafty, I love that plaid paper your used on your card. It looks so professional. Beautiful poinsettia. Linda, I love the cut apart you used. I thought you had stamped and embossed it. Mounting it on the green really makes it stand out. Wonderful Christmas card.
